Nissan India is now offering a massive discount of Rs. 1.15 lakh on its only SUV for the Indian market – the Kicks. The Kicks is struggling to sell in the Indian market thanks to the overall slowdown that the market is facing, and the Japanese automaker is stuck with a large inventory that needs to be cleared before April 2020, the month when the Bharat Stage 6 (BS6) emission norms come into force across India. The discounts on the Kicks is divided into the following components: cash discount up to Rs 40,000, exchange bonus up to Rs 40,000, corporate discount up to Rs 10,000, extended warranty valued at Rs 20,500, and 24*7 roadside assistance in 1500+ cities. Nissan is also offering attractive offers on the Datsun Redi-GO, the Go and Go+.
Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. had this to say about the latest discount offers on Nissan cars,
Nissan as a customer centric brand is offering the highest value proposition to the customers through Red Weekends’ in a very innovative way to bring New Year festivities through Nissan and Datsun products with the first-time best finance offer of 6.99% for 36 months.
The Nissan Kicks was launched earlier this year, replacing the Terrano. The Kicks takes on the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster, the Kia Seltos and the Maruti S-Cross in the compact SUV market. The SUV shares its underpinnings with the Renault Duster and Captur, and the engines and gearboxes are also shared. There are two engines offered with the Kicks: a 1.5 liter K9K turbocharged diesel in 108 Bhp-240 Nm state of tune, and a 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol with 104 Bhp-140 Nm. Both engines get manual gearboxes as standard, with the diesel getting a 6 speed unit while the petrol makes do with a 5 speed unit. The Nissan Kicks is front wheel driven, and comes with a range of interesting features.
A 360 degree camera was a first-in-segment feature on the Kicks, which is now offered by the Kia Seltos as well. The Kicks gets 4 airbags, ABS+EBD, traction control, cruise control, hill hold, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, leather clad seats and a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay on the top-end trims. The SUV is highly regarded for its exceptional ride quality, which is one of its biggest selling points. The Kicks is a global product for Nissan, and is sold with multiple engine and gearbox options in Latin American markets. In India, it’s built at Nissan’s Oragadam factory off Chennai. Prices of the Kicks start from Rs. 9.55 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi.
