Retro motorcycle maker Royal Enfield has come up with an extended warranty program for its motorcycles, which will cover many mechanical parts (non wear-and-tear), and will ensure that the ownership is hassle free for 4 years/50,000 Kms. The extended warranty program may be purchased at any authorised Royal Enfield dealership/service center during the original warranty period. While the Classic 350/500, Bullet 350/500 and Thunderbird 350/500 are covered under the extended warranty program called ‘Ride Sure’, it’s unclear as to whether the same holds good for the Interceptor/Continental GT 650 twins and the Himalayan. You need to get in touch with your nearest Royal Enfield dealer for pricing details for the Ride Sure extended warranty package.

Royal Enfield sells a range of retro motorcycles with engine capacities ranging between 350cc and 650cc. The 650cc twins, introduced last year, are massive hits, outselling many cheaper priced, smaller engined premium motorcycles. The bread and butter for Royal Enfield though comes from the 350cc range, comprising the Classic and Bullet 350. The Classic 500, Bullet 500 and Thunderbird 500 are slow sellers, and so is the Himalayan on-off road motorcycle. The 650cc range comprising of the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 are best sellers in their segments. In the coming years, Royal Enfield is expected to deploy the newly developed 650cc, twin cylinder engine in a range of motorcycles including the Thunderbird and Himalayan. Royal Enfield also has plans of launching bigger engined motorcycles.
