Maruti Suzuki Swift is one of the most popular hatchbacks in the country. When launched it was one of the sportier looking every car that one could buy in the Indian market. It has also been a hatchback that has been popular among modifiers. There are many examples of tastefully modified Swifts in the country. We have seen some great modified swifts from southern part of the country, specifically Kerala where modifying cars and bikes is quiet common. Here we have two extremely cool looking swifts that have been modified tastefully and look gorgeous.
The video has been uploaded uploaded by Nitro Street on their youtube channel. There are two current generation Swift hatchbacks that has been extensively modified. From the outside all the chrome elements from the car has been taken away and it now gets an all-black theme. Even the Suzuki logo on the front grille has been blacked-out to make it look sporty.
The bumper on both the cars remain unchanged. The headlights are now smoked out and the LED DRLs with the wide grille at the front give the cars an aggressive look. Contrasting with the black background inside the headlamps, there is a small chrome garnish for that sporty touch. The headlights remain unchanged and still get the projector type.
Coming to the profile both the cars get sporty aftermarket alloy wheels that adds up to the charm of the vehicle. The white Swift in the video gets a 17-inch Suzuki Swift Sport like alloy wheels and the red car gets 15 inch multi spoke golden alloy wheels. Both the cars get lowered suspension and sits lower than before.
Coming to the rear of the the tail lamp has been replaced for a clear lens LED unit with Audi style sweeping indicators. Both the cars gets similar modifications the only noticeable difference between both the Swifts is the paint job and the alloy wheels. There is a badging at the rear that says Code6 which is a car customization house which provides ECU remaps and other services. This means the power output on these cars would have also gone up. The exact figure is not known though.
It is not mentioned in the video if Swifts used here in the video are petrol or diesel. There is a 1.2-litre petrol engine that develops a maximum power of 83 Bhp and 113 Nm. The 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine in the Swift produces a maximum power of 74 Bhp and a peak torque of 190 Nm. Both the petrol and diesel engine options get AMT automatic transmission. The 1.3L diesel engine will be discontinued after April 1 when BS6 norms kick in.
