Kia Motors made their debut in Indian market last year and quickly became popular among buyers. Seltos was their first product and it has been a very important car for the South Korean automaker in India. It was later followed by the luxury MPV called Carnival, which was officially launched at the Auto Expo earlier this year. Most of India’s car manufacturers have resumed operations in their dealerships and manufacturing facilities, and people have also started buying cars once again. Kia Motors once again had a good start and now they have managed to sell over 7,200 units of the Seltos compact and Carnival MPV together, in the month of June.
Kia Motors had secured fifth position last month in terms of sales. The top four brands in the list were Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata and Mahindra. Kia Motors sold a total of 7,275 units last month and this includes 7,114 units of Seltos SUV and 161 units of Carnival luxury MPV. Tjhe Seltos SUV has turned out to be a blockbuster for the manufacturer and is doing great in terms of numbers every month.
The Kia Seltos is popular among buyers because of its bold and aggressive styling, features and the competitive pricing as well. It is available in three engine option – two petrol and one diesel. The 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine is available with a manual or a CVT gearbox. The 1.5 litre diesel engine is available with a manual or torque converter automatic gearbox and the most powerful engine in the lot is the 1.4 litre turbocharged petrol unit, which this is available with a 7-speed DCT or a manual gearbox option. Depending up on the variants, Kia offers features like electric sunroof, ventilated seats, Heads up display, electrically adjustable driver seats, touchscreen system, Kia UVO connect feature and so on with Seltos.

Kia Carnival on the other hand is a huge luxury MPV with loads of space on the inside. It was launched at the Auto Expo earlier this year and has grabbed attention of many buyers for its sheer size and features on offer. It gets features like electrically sliding doors, dual sunroof, captain seats, rear seat entertainment screens and so on. It is powered by a 2.2 litre turbocharged diesel engine that generates 200 PS of peak power and 440 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
