All-new Hyundai Creta gets modified: Wants to be a Range Rover

The recently launched, 2020 Hyundai Creta compact SUV has already hit the modification circuit, and here is an example that has gone to the custom shop straight from the showroom. Armed with a unique wrap and bigger aftermarket alloy wheels, this 2020 Creta wants to be a Range Rover.

As the pictures indicate, this 2020 Hyundai Creta seems to be the mid/base trim, going by the halogen headlamps on offer. It seems as though the owner has bought this SUV to modify it immediately, and buying the mid/base trim for such an approach makes sense rather than spending a lot of money for the top-end variant. The first thing that’ll greet you when you take a look at this modified Creta is the satin wrap that it is running. The satin wrap gives the SUV a nice matte finish. To add contrast, the owner has gone in for gloss black bits on multiple parts of the car.

For instance, the front grille gets a honeycomb design and a gloss black finish, the wing mirrors are finished in gloss black and at the rear, the section between the bumper and tail lamps also get glossed black. Thee are Range Rover-esque oval badges on the front grille and boot lid. However, instead of opting for full Range Rover badging, the owner has taken a step back,  and gone with ‘Rover’ badging. Perhaps the idea is to tell people that yes, this Creta is inspired by Range Rover SUVs but is still not a full copy. The profile of the Creta now looks a lot more chunkier with negative offset alloy wheels that fill up the wheel wells nicely and slightly jut out.

All in all, this is a unique mod job on the all-new 2020 Hyundai Creta, and one that’ll surely turn a lot of heads. Pictures of this Creta’s interiors are not out. So, we’re not sure if there are any modifications on the inside as well. Engine specifications also are unavailable at the moment. The stock 2020 Hyundai Creta is offered with three engine options: a 1.5 liter-4 cylinder naturally aspirated petrol with 113 Bhp-142 Nm, a 1.5 liter-4 cylinder turbocharged diesel with 115 Bhp-250 Nm and a 1.4 liter-4 cylinder turbocharged petrol with 138 Bhp-242 Nm. The naturally aspirated petrol engine gets 6 speed manual and CVT automatic gearbox options while the diesel gets 6 speed manual and 6 speed torque converter automatic gearbox options.  The turbo petrol motor is exclusively sold with a 7 speed twin clutch automatic gearbox.
