The all-new second-generation Mahindra Thar, which launched on 2nd October has already become the talk-of-the-town, especially among the car enthusiasts. The updated design of the Mahindra Thar keeps the original Thar’s design DNA intact while making it look modern and futuristic. There is no doubt in the fact that the all-new Thar grabs a lot of eyes on the roads and curious onlookers may even stop and ask details about the all-new Thar. While there have been a few instances where onlookers have stopped people in the all-new Thar to ask questions and check out the vehicle, here is a video that shows Kerala Police with their curiosity checking out the all-new Thar.

Quite sometime into the video, when the driver was doing a test on the rough roads and off-road patches, a marked Kerala police Bolero arrives and stops them. A few cops start to check out the vehicle and question about it from the person who was driving the vehicle. The police officers even enter the vehicle to check out the features. Later, they take lead and take the Mahindra Thar to check its capabilities on the sand beach.

The all-new Thar has become much bigger than the first-generation model. With the new, bolder design, it attracts a lot of eyes on the roads. Mahindra has now officially revealed that there are more than 9,000 bookings on the all-new Thar and the deliveries will begin in November 2020. The price of the all-new Thar starts at Rs 9.8 lakh.
Mahindra has added a lot of features that are available with the Thar for the first time ever. Also, the new Scorpio-based platform of the vehicle makes it much more comfortable compared to the older version of the vehicle. Mahindra has put in efforts to make the all-new Thar a family vehicle.
The all-new Mahindra Thar comes powered by both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol variants get the 2.0-litre mStallion turbocharged petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 150 Bhp while the diesel variants come powered by the 2.2-litre mHawk engine that generates a maximum of 130 Bhp. Both the engine options get manual as well as automatic options. It should be noted that all the variants of the all-new Thar get 4X4 as standard with a low-ratio transfer case,
Mahindra also offers the all-new Thar three different roof options. There is a hardtop roof, a soft-top roof and a convertible soft-top roof. Also, it gets a touchscreen infotainment system, manual climate control system and washable cabin.
