The recently launched Urban Cruiser is the brainchild of the Maruti Suzuki and Toyota’s partnership which allows them to share vehicles and technology. Toyota first launched the Glanza which was a straight-up rebadged Maruti Suzuki Baleno. However, this is not the case with the Urban Cruiser. Toyota has made sure that Urban Cruiser can distinguish itself from the Vitara Brezza.

This was important because the Vitara Brezza is one of the best selling compact-SUVs in the Indian market. So, Toyota is offering a tan-brown interior with the Urban Cruiser and there are also some cosmetic changes to the exterior. Choosing a compact-SUV is a tedious task, the buyer also has to decide which variant is the right pick. So, today we help you with the variant that you should get if you are opting for an Urban Cruiser.

On a budget

Variant: Mid, Price: Rs. 8.40 lakhs

If you are on a tight budget and want an Urban Cruiser, then the Mid variant is the one for you. It is the entry-level variant but still offers quite a bit of equipment. It is equipped with dual-chamber LED projector headlamps with LED Daytime Running Lamps and LED taillamps as standard. You still get turn indicators on the ORVMs, roof rails, side mouldings and floating roofline effect. In terms of safety, there are dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear defogger and rear parking sensors with an infographic display.

In terms of equipment, you get steering mounted audio controls, an infotainment system with 4 speakers, glovebox and front footwell illumination and all-4 power windows. Moreover, you get smart entry with a push-button to start/stop, remote keyless entry, automatic climate control and a Multi-information display. The Mid variant has been priced at Rs. 8.40 lakhs ex-showroom.

Budget Automatic

Variant: Mid AT, Price: Rs. 9.80 lakhs

If you are on a budget and want the convenience of an automatic transmission, the Mid AT variant is the one for you. It comes with the same feature list of the Mid variant which we have stated above. However, being an AT variant features like hill hold control and the gear position indicator is added. With AT variant you also smart-hybrid technology which adds brake regeneration function, idle stop/start and torque assist. The Mid AT variant will cost you Rs. 9.80 lakhs ex-showroom.

Value for money buy

Variant: High, Price: Rs. 9.15 lakhs

If you are looking for the variant which offers the most value for money then you should go for the High variant. It adds some more features over the Mid variant such as rear wiper and washer, cruise control, voice commands, rear centre armrest, multi-coloured instrument cluster, dual-opening parcel shelf and much more. Cosmetic upgrades include silver skid plates, black alloy wheels, roof-rails finished in gun-metal grey and seats finished in Honey Comb pattern and more. However, the biggest addition comes in the form of a 17.78 cm Smart Playcast touchscreen system which comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Toyota has priced the High variant at Rs. 9.15 lakhs ex-showroom.

Full Urban Cruiser experience

Variant: Premium, Price: Rs. 9.80 lakhs

Many people want the full-on experience that Urban Cruiser has to offer. If you are also one of those people then the Premium variant is the one you should opt for. It is the top-end variant that Toyota has to offer and comes equipped with all the bells and whistles that Toyota has to offer. This variant adds a cooled-glovebox, auto-folding ORVMs, rain-sensing wipers, leather-wrapped steering wheel, front sliding armrest, tweeters for the touchscreen infotainment system, adjustable anchor points for the seatbelts, LED foglamps, automatic headlamps, automatic IRVM and a reverse parking camera. The Premium variant will cost you Rs. 9.80 lakhs ex-showroom.
