DC Design has made a good name in the Indian modification market. The brand has been around for years and is one of the most trusted names when it comes to modifications. DC Design North East modified the Bolero Inceptor and it is the most expensive Bolero that you can buy. DC North East delivered one such modified Bolero in white colour a few months ago, this time around, they have made a black one and it looks radical.

This black-themed Mahindra Bolero comes with a black theme with jet black seats with contrasting orange highlights. There are similar highlights on the dashboard and many other parts of the cabin. This modified version looks much more sophisticated and luxurious than the stock version of the Bolero.

DC has added a lot of new features. There is a roof-mounted infotainment system that can be used by the passengers in the rear. However, it seems to be obstructing the view of the driver in the ORVM. According to DC North East, the total cost of this vehicle including the modification is Rs 18 lakh and the price includes the cost of the donor car too.

The roof of this balck-coloured Bolero Interceptor gets an orange contrasting roof. The saying contrast gives a premium look to the vehicle while the overall sillhoute of the Bolero Inceptor is retained to keep the look and feel of the vehicle alive. To add a muscular look to the vehicle, aftermarket alloy wheels have been added. Even the tyres are aftermarket and are much bigger in size compared to the stock version of the Bolero.

Mahindra Bolero Inceptor 2

It is a rear-wheel-drive Bolero since there is no stick to select the drive. The Mahindra Bolero has been the top-selling utility vehicle in India for several years before the arrival of new cars like Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and more such cars. The rugged build of the Mahindra Bolero makes it very popular among the Tier-II and Tier-III buyers who want their vehicles to last for a lifetime and a vehicle that can be used for everything – from the farming fields to transport large amount of products. The Mahindra Bolero is one of the oldest vehicles in the Indian market and over the years nothing much has changed too.

Mahindra launched a sub-4m version Bolero with carved out bumpers. By making the Bolero sub-4m, the tax benefits are passed on to the customers. Even the regular Bolero is on sale in the market and the customers can choose either of them. The main difference between the two apart from the carved out bumpers is the engine. Mahindra offers a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder, twin-scroll turbocharged diesel engine with this version. It generates a maximum power of 70 Bhp and peak torque of 195 Nm. The regular version of the Bolero continues to offer the 2.5-litre M2DICR tubrocharged diesel engine that generates  maximum power of 63 Bhp and peak torque of 180 Nm. Both the engine options get a five-speed manual transmission. The Bolero is available in 7,8 and 9 seats layout.
