Customized 2020 Mahindra Thar off roader modified tastefully

One of the most awaited products from Mahindra this year was the all-new Mahindra Thar. As expected, there is a huge demand for the SUV and it is already sold out till May 2021. Deliveries have started and so has the modifications. In comparison to the last generation Thar, the new one is a huge improvement in terms of features or fit and finish. That doesn’t stop people from modifying their Thars. A lot of modification options are already available in the market and we have already seen some of them. Here we have a 2020 Mahindra Thar that has been customised inside out beautifully.

The video has been uploaded by DCV on their Youtube channel. The video shows what all modifications were done the all-new Mahindra Thar. Starting with the front, the original grille has been replaced with an aftermarket matte black unit. The headlamps are now projector LEDs and the fog lamps have been replaced too. The company fitted skid plate in Thar is painted in red to give it a butch look.

Coming to the side profile, there are black beadings starting from the bonnet to the rear of the SUV. All these beadings get carbon fibre design inserts. The Thar badge on the ORVM has been removed and replaced by a custom made fiber glass piece which has been hydro-dipped. There is Jeep badge on the side fender and the door handles have also been slightly customised. The factory fitted alloy wheels are painted black with a red accent. The brake calipers are also painted red to give it a different look. The stock tyres have also been replaced for BFGoodrich AT tyres

On the inside, the plastic panels on the door and dashboard have been hydro dipped. This gives it a premium look. The Thar now gets a custom made red and black colour seats. There is a sliding armrest in the centre and the best part about this customisation was the rear seats. The rear passenger does not get a proper armrest because of the bulging wheel arch. The custom house made a dedicated armrest with cupholders and 12V socket on each sides. There is also a rear AC vent which was not present in the stock version.

Overall, the SUV looks pretty good. When coming to customisation or modifications options, Mahindra Thar has infinite options. One can modify it as per their likings. If you are looking for a comfortable SUV, then there are suitable modifications for that or else if you are looking for off-road friendly mods they are also available in the market.

All-new Mahindra Thar as we mentioned above is a huge improvement from the older generation. It is based on a new platform and offers so many features like hard top, touchscreen infotainment screen, front facing rear seats for the first time. It is now available with a 2.2 litre mHawk turbo diesel engine and a 2.0 litre mStallion turbo petrol engine. Both engine options are now available with manual and automatic gearbox options. Mahindra Thar had scored 4 star rating at Global NCAP crash test and they are expected to discontinue the 6-seater version of Thar as it is less safer than the 4-seater versions.
