Mahindra recently launched the all-new Bolero Neo in the market. It is actually a rebadged version of TUV300 and is currently available at a price starting at Rs 8.48 lakh, ex-showroom. It has already started reaching the dealerships and we have also shared our detailed text review about the Bolero Neo on our website. We have seen several videos showing top-end trim of Bolero Neo but, here we have a video that shows what all does Mahindra offer in Bolero Neo’s base N4 trim.
The video has been uploaded by Amar Drayan on his YouTube channel. The video starts with vlogger taking about the exterior design of the base variant. In comparison the higher models, the base N4 model misses out on several chrome elements. The front grille gets vertical slats but, they are now finished in gloss black finish. Coming to the side profile, the base variant gets 15 inch steel rims with no wheel caps. It also misses out on footboard which is other wise present in all other variants. The black door handles and the black cladding on Bolero Neo is a standard feature. The rear gets a tail gate mounted spare wheel and high mounted stop lamp. N4 also misses out on roof mounted antenna, rear windshield wiper and defogger.
On the inside, Even the base variant gets a dual tone cabin. This gives it an upmarket feel. Power window function is also available as standard with the SUV. It does not offer multi-function steering wheel, touchscreen infotainment screen, manual dimming IRVMs and so on. It offers beige colour fabric seats, headrest for second row passengers and so on.
Even the base variant of Bolero Neo is offered with features like dual Airbags, ABS, EBD, rear parking sensors as standard. Overall, Mahindra Bolero Neo looks like a value for money product in this segment. The SUV is based on third generation ladder frame chassis that is shared with Thar and Scorpio. Mahindra Bolero Neo is powered by a 1.5 litre mHawk diesel engine, The engine generates 100 Ps and 160 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. Mahindra does not offer an AMT gearbox option with this SUV.
Mahindra is also working on couple of new models like next-gen Scorpio and XUV700 SUV. The all-new XUV700 will be launched in the market later this year and the Scorpio will be launched next year. Mahindra also has plans to launch a 5-door version of Thar and a 9-seater version of the Bolero Neo, which will be a rebadged TUV300 Plus. According to reports, Mahindra is expected to launch the 9-seater version of Bolero Neo in the market soon.
