Mahindra’s 5 new electric SUVs: What’s coming, and when?

Mahindra Automotive, which currently stands as the largest Indian SUV manufacturer, is also betting big on the future of electric mobility. Recently, a spokesperson from the company has confirmed the launch dates for a number of its upcoming EV SUVs. The exact pricing of these electric SUVs has not been revealed as of yet. Now, if you are one of those who are eager to know which Mahindra electric SUVs will be making their debut in the coming months, then you have come to the right place.

Mahindra XUV.e8

Mahindra XUV.e8 EV SUV concept

The first of the new generation of electric SUVs from the brand will be the XUV.e8. It has been reported that the electrified iteration of the XUV700 will be making it to the production line in December 2024. As for the pricing, it will be priced around Rs 35 lakh. Mahindra has confirmed that the XUVe.8 will come equipped with an 80 kWh battery pack and an all-wheel-drive configuration with a dual-motor setup. According to reports, this powertrain will be able to generate a maximum of 230 PS and 350 Nm of torque.

Second in the pipeline of Mahindra EV SUVs is the XUV.e9. This SUV will feature a unique coupe-style SUV design and will be a sportier iteration of the XUV.e8. According to the Mahindra spokesperson, this SUV will be making its debut in April of 2025 and will be priced at a premium price of Rs 40 lakh. As for the electric drivetrain side of things, the Mahindra XUV.e9 will be sharing the 80 kWh battery pack and the dual-motor setup with the XUV.e8.

Mahindra BE.05

Soon after the company rounds up the launch of the electric XUV range of cars, it will jump onto the launch of its BE (Born Electric) range of cars. The first model in this BE range will be the BE.05 coupe-SUV, which will be making its debut around October 2025. The highly anticipated BE.05 will be underpinned by Mahindra’s brand-new INGLO EV skateboard platform. The battery sizes will range from 60-80 kWh. Now, which battery pack will be offered with the BE.05 has not been revealed. At the moment, Mahindra has estimated that the 80 kWh battery will deliver a driving range of approximately 435 km to 450 km, and it could be making its way underneath the floorboard of the BE.05.

Along with the BE.05 coupe-SUV, Mahindra Automotive will also be launching the BE Rall.e MCC model. For those who may not be aware, this particular SUV is a more hardcore rally version of the BE.05. It will be offered with a set of much bigger all-terrain tires, a roof rack, larger skid plates, side claddings, and a number of other rally-related features. It will be making its debut at the same time as the BE.05 in October of 2025. Most likely, it will share the same powertrain specifications as the BE.05.

Closing the lineup, the Mahindra BE.07 will be the largest SUV in the Mahindra EV SUV range. According to the spokesperson from the brand, its launch will take place in October 2026. Like the other BE range of SUVs, it will also boast a sleek design and offer an impressive driving range. At the moment, no exact powertrain specifications of this SUV have been shared. However, being the largest SUV in the BE range, it will most likely feature the biggest battery pack.
