Hyundai Creta revealed officially before January 16 launch

Hyundai India has officially revealed the new Creta in the Indian market before the official launch on 16th January. The bookings for the upcoming mid-size SUV are already open at Rs 15,000. The Creta will also offer many new features.

The SUV will have seven different versions to choose from, including E, EX, S, S(O), SX, SX Tech and SX(O). It will also be available in different colors, such as Atlas White with a black roof, Robust Emerald Pearl (new), Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Abyss Black, Atlas White and Titan Grey. However, the dual-tone color option will only be available for the two top-spec variants.

Hyundai has made several changes to the exterior design of the car, as seen in the released images. These changes include H-shaped LED daytime running lights with quad-beam LED headlights, a new front grille design, black chrome accents, refreshed front and rear bumper design, and faux skid plates to enhance the overall look of the Creta facelift. The rear section of the car will also feature connected LED taillights, a new rear spoiler, and a 3D Hyundai logo to further enhance its appearance.

In terms of features, Hyundai has showcased an extensive list of over 70+ connected features that the Creta facelift will offer. Additionally, the car will receive significant technology upgrades, such as a new 10.25-inch touchscreen with built-in navigation, a Bose premium sound system with eight speakers, and a complimentary one-year subscription to the Jio-Saavn music streaming app.

The Creta facelift will also feature a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster that can display ADAS alerts, a tire pressure monitoring system, a blind view monitor, and more. Other notable features of the new Creta include ventilated seats, an 8-way powered driver seat, and a panoramic sunroof. The car will also have dual-zone automatic temperature control.

As for the engine and transmission options, the Creta facelift will continue to offer a petrol engine, a diesel engine, and a turbo petrol option. The petrol and diesel engines will remain the same as before, both being 1.5-litre units. However, the previous 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine has been replaced with a new 1.5-litre turbo GDI petrol engine, which we have previously experienced in the Seltos facelift. The new Creta will also provide four transmission options, including a 6-speed manual, Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), and 6-speed automatic transmission.
