India’s leading SUV manufacturer launched the XUV400 Pro range in the market today. The updated version of Mahindra’s electric SUV is now available at an introductory price of Rs 15.49 lakh, ex-showroom. Unlike the previous version, Mahindra is now offering 3 variants with the Pro range. The XUV400 Pro is now available in EC Pro and two EL Pro variants. The battery pack and the features differentiate each variant from the others. Bookings for the 2024 XUV400 Pro will commence from January 12. Interested buyers can book the electric SUV by making a payment of Rs 21,000. Deliveries for the XUV400 Pro will start from February 01, 2024.

The exterior design of the XUV400 remains the same as before. The closed front grille with copper accents and the new Mahindra logo, XUV300-like headlamps with drop-down copper accents, and the front bumper design look the same as XUV300. Even the design of the alloy wheels looks similar. One of the new changes in this electric SUV is the paint. The XUV400 now comes with an exhilarating new Nebula Blue color option, Shark Fin Antenna that enhances the all-electric SUV’s overall aesthetic.

The clear lens LED tail lamps remain the same as before. Other than this, no other visible changes are seen on the outside. The cabin of the XUV400 has been revised. Earlier, it was the same as seen in the XUV300 SUV. In the newly launched Pro range, the XUV400 gets a dual-tone cabin. The upper half is finished in black, while the lower half gets an ice grey or white shade. This makes the cabin look a bit more airy than before. The dashboard design of this electric SUV has also been revised. The car now gets a floating-type 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The car also offers a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster.

The infotainment system offers over 50 connected car features, and another change here is the AC. The XUV400 offers dual-zone climate control. The touchscreen infotainment system will offer Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Mahindra XUV400 is one of the fastest-accelerating electric SUVs in its segment. The XUV400 can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 8.3 seconds. As mentioned above, the SUV is available in three variants now. The EC variant of the XUV400 gets a 34.5 kWh battery pack. This variant of the SUV is available with a 3.3 kW AC charger. This is the entry-level variant and is priced at Rs 15.49 lakh. The mid EL Pro variant also gets a 34.5 kWh battery pack. This variant, however, comes with a 7.2 kW AC charger. This variant is priced at Rs 16.74 lakh, ex-showroom.

Coming to the third and the top-end variant, the EL Pro variant offers a 39.4 kWh battery pack. This variant offers a 7.2 kW AC charger and is priced at Rs 17.49 lakh, ex-showroom. The 34.5 kWh battery pack variants of the XUV400 Pro offer a claimed driving range of 375 km while the 39.4 kWh battery pack variant offers a 456 km. The EV comes with other features like drive modes: Fun, Fast & Fearless as before. The EL variant offers features like projector headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlamps, cruise control, reverse camera with guidelines, electric sunroof, 6 airbags, wireless phone charger, auto-dimming IRVMs, alloy wheels, and many more that are missing in the lower EC variant.
