Now, once again, we have found another source spreading fake news about the soon-to-be-launched 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift. Recently, we came across a video on YouTube which shows a Chinese car. But the YouTuber that has shared it claims it to be the upcoming Swift.
Fake video of Swift
This fake news video has been shared on YouTube by a channel named Auto New. In this video, the presenter claims that the car shown in the video is the new Maruti Suzuki Swift hybrid. However, in reality, the car shown is a Chinese car called the Forthing T5 Evo crossover.
The YouTuber, in his video, talks about the specifications of the Swift. However, for the video, he shows this Chinese vehicle. Eagle-eyed viewers can immediately note that there is not a single Suzuki badge on the outside or the inside of the vehicle in the video. The only logo seen in this video was on the thumbnail, which looks like a poorly done edit job.
It can easily be understood that this video is misleading, and unfortunately, some people fall for these types of videos. As stated before, everyone should be very cautious about learning new information from YouTube or the internet in general. These types of videos and fake news are created by people just to catch the attention of unaware people.
How can you be safe from fake news?
As we all know, the internet is full of people who spread fake news just for clicks. So for this reason, one should be very careful when consuming news on the internet. To be safe from fake videos and news like shown above, you can do the following things.
Before believing or sharing any news, first, always check by yourself where the news is coming from. Is it from a reliable source, like a well-known news website? Or is it from a place that might not tell the truth? It’s smart to look at a few different sources to make sure they all agree.
You should also take a good look at the information itself. Does it seem too shocking or extreme? Sometimes fake news is made to grab attention with crazy stories. So always watch out for videos that might be edited to change the reality.
2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift
For those who may not be aware, Maruti Suzuki will be officially launching the all-new 4th generation Swift next month in April. This time around, the hatchback will come with a new exterior and interior design. It will get a number of new features.
The main highlight of the upcoming new Swift will be an all-new 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine. This engine has been named the Z12 engine. It will replace the current 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder K-Series engine.
The Z12 engine prioritizes enhanced volumetric efficiency and torque. And as per the reports, it will be delivering an impressive mileage of around 28-30 kmpl. This same engine will be used in the upcoming 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire sub-compact sedan as well.
