The month of April is going to be a hot one for Indians as well as the Indian car market. Major automakers in the country have lined up a number of car launches this month. Now, if you are one of those eager buyers waiting to know which cars are coming in April, then you have stumbled upon the right place. Here is the list of all the cars that are expected to be launched in April.
Toyota Taisor
The Indo-Japanese automaker Toyota Kirloskar Motor India is gearing up for the launch of the Urban Cruiser Taisor. This Maruti Fronx-based crossover will be launched on April 3. So far, the company has released the teaser of this upcoming model.
It will get a new front fascia with new LED headlights and DRLs. It will also get a new grille and new rear LED taillights. The interior and powertrain options will most likely remain the same as the Maruti Fronx.
At the moment, it has not been revealed if the company will be offering it with the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine or not. However, it most certainly will get the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine as the Fronx.
Tata Altroz Racer
Next up on the launch list for April is Tata’s more sporty iteration of the Altroz. The company is looking to launch the Altroz Racer this month. The company first unveiled this model at the 2023 Auto Expo.
Once launched, it will be taking the top spot in the Altroz lineup in India. Meanwhile, it will become the direct rival of the Hyundai i20 N Line in India. This new model will come powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. It will make 118 bhp of power and 170 Nm of torque.
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift

The country’s largest SUV manufacturer Mahindra is also gearing up to unveil the facelifted version of the XUV300. The newest iteration of this popular sub-compact SUV will get a refreshed design. It will get a new front fascia and a new interior layout.
As for the powertrain side of things, the XUV300 is expected to retain its current 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. The test mules of this facelifted model have been spotted on multiple occasions in the country.
Hyundai Alcazar Facelift
After celebrating the highly successful launch of the new Creta facelift, Hyundai is gearing up to introduce the updated Alcazar facelift to the Indian market. Most likely, it will get an extensively redesigned exterior and interior design like the new Creta facelift.
In terms of the engine options, it will most likely come powered by the existing engine options. These options include a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol engine makes 158 bhp and 253 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the diesel makes 114 bhp and 250 Nm of torque.
2024 Skoda Superb
Czech automaker Skoda is also set to reintroduce its flagship sedan, the Superb, in India. The all-new B8 generation will make its way via the CBU route to India. Skoda Superb according to reports will be launched on April 3.
Luxury sedan seekers can expect a more modern exterior design along with a luxurious interior. It might come powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. This engine will produce a maximum power of 188 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. It could also come equipped with a 7-speed DSG transmission.
Force Gurkha 5-Door
To please the practical off-road and adventure enthusiasts, Force Motors is set to launch the Gurkha 5-Door. This rugged SUV, once launched, will compete with the Maruti Suzuki Jimny. It will also compete with the Mahindra Thar five-door once it’s launched in August of this year.
The Force Gurkha five-door will come powered by the same 2.6-litre four-cylinder Mercedes-Benz-derived diesel engine. It will make around 91 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. In terms of off-road equipment, it will remain the same as the three-door model.
4th generation Maruti Suzuki Swift
Last but not least, the most highly anticipated model coming this month is the Maruti Swift fourth generation. This new model will get an evolved exterior design. It will look a lot more modern and premium than the outgoing model.
It will also come equipped with a brand new interior. This interior will be inspired by the Grand Vitara and Fronx. As for the main highlight, it could come powered by a strong hybrid powertrain. This new powertrain will employ the newly introduced Z-Series 3-cylinder petrol engine. Reports suggest that it will offer around 30-35 kmpl mileage.
