Lately, we have been seeing a lot of videos about the upcoming Maruti Swift all over the internet. Maruti will be officially launching this popular hatchback tomorrow. Before the official launch, we have a video of the top-end variant of the 2024 Maruti Swift. In this video, we see the new Swift in a Red-Black Dual-tone shade, showcasing both the exterior and interior in a detailed manner.
The video has been shared by Cars with Anurag on their YouTube channel. In this video, we see a new shade of the Maruti Swift. Maruti will be offering the new Swift in LXI, VXI, VXI(O), ZXI, and ZX+ variants. The car seen here in the video looks like the top-end ZXI+ variant in a dual-tone shade. The Red car with a blacked-out roof looks good on the car.
The vlogger talks about the exterior first. The sleeker-looking headlamp design with blacked-out interior elements, along with projector lights and LED DRLs, can be seen here. The front grille with a gloss black outline and clamshell bonnet design gives the Swift a new look. The car gets LED fog lamps, and there is a black-colored lower bumper lip too.
Coming to the side profile, we notice the dual-tone shade along with the new set of alloy wheels. There are body-colored door handles, and we also see the request sensors on the driver-side door. The rear door handle is now on the door instead of the C-pillar. The rear of the hatchback gets clear lens tail lamps with LED lights in them. The interiors are blacked out for a sporty look.
We see the reverse parking camera on the tailgate, and there are parking sensors on the bumper. The vlogger then shows the interior of the new Swift. As this is the top-end variant, the car is loaded with features. We see push start/stop along with a button to control the mild hybrid system, a multi-function steering wheel with a flat bottom and gloss black inserts in it.
The twin-pod analog instrument cluster with a color MID in the center can also be seen here. The 9-inch floating-type touchscreen infotainment system, Arkamys sound system, and wireless phone charger are also seen here. The steering can be adjusted too. The seats get fabric covers.
In terms of dimensions, the new Swift is taller and longer than before. However, the width of the hatchback has come down by 3 mm. The wheelbase of the car also remains the same. Coming to the engine, the Swift gets a brand-new 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine.
This engine is tuned in such a way that it generates decent power and torque for city usage. The car generates less power when compared to the outgoing model. The 2024 Maruti Swift generates 82 Bhp and 112 Nm of peak torque. It will be offered with a 5-speed manual as seen in the video, and we would also see the 5-speed AMT option.
Just like all other models from Maruti, the all-new Swift is also expected to be priced competitively. At a later stage, Maruti will introduce CNG and Series Hybrid tech in the new Swift.
