Hyundai will be launching the all-new Verna in sometime and while they haven’t released any images of the vehicle yet, the car has been spotted a few times. Here are pictures of the car spotted by a reader ahead of the launch. As you can see, the badges have been covered.
The Verna is all set to go more premium with this generation. It will be offered with 2 engine options, a 1.6 liter petrol making 121 Bhp and 155 Nm and a 1.6 liter diesel engine making 126 Bhp and 260. It will come with a 6 speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission.
There will be a total of 12 variants that will be on offer, 6 petrol and 6 diesel. There will only be 2 automatic variants in petrol and 2 automatic variants in diesel.
The car will come equipped with dual airbags and ABS as standard. The top spec variant will get 6 airbags, a sun roof, LED DRLs, projector headlamps, a new smart trunk system, rear sun blind, 7″ touch screen system with Apple Car play, Android Auto and Mirrorlink. There will be a total of 7 colours on offer, 4 new and 3 old. It will have 3 years unlimited kms warranty on it as well.
The new Verna is more evolutionary than revolutionary. While the front end has a new family grille, the rear end has been inspired by the new Elantra. It now gets the larger split tail lamp cluster with design detailing and it also gets a sporty rear bumper as well.
Models that will be offered:
Petrol variants: E, EX (MT/AT), SX, SX(O) (MT/AT). Diesel variants: E,EX (MT/AT), SX(MT/AT), SX(O).
While the diesel automatic will not be offered in the top of the line variant, the petrol automatic will be offered.
