Skoda will launching the new vRS on the 30th of August in India. The cars have already reached the dealerships and here is what the car looks like, courtesy images sent on Whatsapp.
The vRS will be on offer in a single variant and will have a total of 4 colour options on offer, Blue, Steel Grey, Red and White. The engine will be the 2.0 liter TSI unit making 226 Bhp and 350 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed DSG as opposed to the 7-speed dry clutch gearbox which is on offer in the current Octavia 1.8.
The vehicle will have black interiors with leather and Alcantara. The seats now have vRS badging as well. It will have red highlights all around. The steering wheel is now the vRS one and has the vRS logo on it. The car will come equipped with the same features that the recently launched Octavia has. So you will get the quad LED DRLs, the quad LED headlamps, the LED foglamps on the bumper, the rear spoiler, LED tail lamps the auto park assist, engine start stop, touch screen system with Apple Car play and Android auto, sun roof and ambient lighting. It will have 17″ alloys compared to the 18″ that is on offer in the international market. The vehicle also gets carbon fibre trim as opposed to the wood which the normal Octavia gets.
We expect the vehicle to be priced around the Rs 25 lakh mark and deliveries will start in September. Exact pricing will only be known on the 30th of this month though.
