Maserati launches Quattroporte GTS in India

2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 2.7 crore (ex-showroom). It is one of the fastest four-door luxury sedans in the world and it gets many stying changes and additional features for the new model. The 2018 Quattroporte GTS was first showcased at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The car is offered in two variants – GranLusso and GranSport. Both the trims offer distinctive features to the four-door sedan. The 2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS offers a new front and rear bumper design that gives it an aggressive look. The Car also gets a sharper and pointed front grille with new adaptive LED headlamps and glare-free high beam assist.

The GranLusso trim on the Quattroporte GTS gets premium bits like front spoiler, chrome bumper inserts and body coloured side skirts. The variant also gets badges on the wings and a new 20-inch Mercurio alloy wheels with contrasting blacked out brake callipers.

The Quattroporte GTS GranSport trim gets sporty bits like sculpted angles for the central front and side intakes, aerodynamic splitters, and the centre spoiler and side inserts finished in piano black high gloss paint. Maserati also offers an optional exterior carbon package that adds carbon finished ORVMs, door handles, B-Pillar cover and front bumper.

The interiors have also been updated with a longer list of equipment. The car now gets new upholstery and leather trims. There is also a new 8.4-inch Maserati Touch Control Plus multi-touchscreen infotainment with a rotary control in the central console. The touchscreen panel offers Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity with phone mirroring option.

The infotainment plays through 900 watts, 10-speaker Haman Kardon audio system while a 1280 watts, a 15-speaker system from Bower & Wilkin is optional. There are also six airbags, active headrests, Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind spot Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition and much more.

The car is powered by 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that is tuned to deliver 522 Bhp between 6,500 and 6,800 rpm with 710 Nm of peak torque between 2,250 rpm and 3,500 rpm. The car hit 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and can reach a top speed of 310 km/h.
