Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL), the country’s second-largest car manufacturer, plans to launch a facelift of the Creta small SUV soon. As per latest reports, the 2018 Creta facelift will be launched around the middle of this month and will come with a handful of styling changes. It’s being said that the Hyundai dealers in Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai and Gurugram have already started taking bookings of the new car for an amount of Rs 25,000. The same reports state that the deliveries would commence in June this year.

The official launch of the 2018 Hyundai Creta facelift will most likely take place around 15th May 2018. Prices will be announced at the time of the launch but chances are there won’t be a major difference in this aspect.

The Creta will carry some major styling changes, which will give it a fresh look. The top-end trims will get updated headlamps with DRLs while all the variants will get a new hexagonal grille with chrome surround. The 2018 Creta will also offer dual-tone paint options and a set of new front and rear bumpers. The fog lamps will also be new and the interior is likely to get some new features and an upholstery change. The top-end model will also offer a sunroof.

The Creta facelift won’t offer any mechanical changes, which means the SUV will continue to offer three petrol engines – 1.6L VTVT petrol, and the 1.4L and 1.6 L CRDi diesel. All the engine options will be available with manual and automatic transmissions. It may be noted here that the Creta has been the highest-selling SUV in its segment for a long time now. In the previous fiscal, the Indian subsidiary of the popular Korean automaker managed to sell more than 1.07 lakh units of the Creta. It even exported 50,000 units of this SUV from India. In all likelihood, the upcoming facelift will make the Creta even more desirable. The freshened look and the new features should make it more appealing to SUV buyers. Stay tuned for complete details on the upcoming new 2018 Hyundai Creta facelift.
