Maruti Suzuki offers a range of dealer-fitted accessories for the all-new, 2018 Swift hatchback. These accessories are a part of Maruti Suzuki’s personalisation program for the Swift, allowing buyers to give their cars a unique look and feel. Here is a video that shows a 2018 Swift hatchback fitted with many Maruti genuine accessories, all of which are available at Maruti dealerships.
With the 2018 Swift, Maruti Suzuki has ensured that customers opting for lower variants are able to pick and choose between various accessories that are otherwise only available on the higher variants of the hatchback. This allows the car to be customised extensively, and also allows buyers to opt only for those accessories/features that they really need without having to opt for a higher variant just for specific features.
The new Swift was launched in India during the Auto Expo 2018, in February. The car has amassed over 1 lakh bookings ever since, with waiting periods ranging from 2-6 months. The new Swift is produced at Maruti’s Gujarat factory, and the automaker will expand production to 2.5 lakh units/year by the end of 2018, shortening waiting times. Prices of the new Swift start from Rs. 4.99 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi.
The new car is based on the HEARTECT platform, which makes it stronger yet lighter than the older model due to the use of high tensile, lightweight steel. The new Swift retains the petrol and diesel engines from the older model, but adds AMT options to both engines. 5-speed manual gearboxes are standard. Twin airbags and ABS are now standard across the model line-up.
