Followers of Virat Kohli would know that he acquired an Audi R5 last month. Actually, Virat, who is the brand ambassador for Audi India, became the first Audi RS5 owner in the country. The RS5 is a more performance-oriented version of the A5 coupe and costs Rs 1.10 crore. Here is a new video by Audi India that shows the cricketer driving the RS5 around the town of Bengaluru with Rahil Ansari, Managing Director, Audi India.
The video starts with Virat and Rahil getting into the RS5. Soon, Virat starts talking about the car and comments that under normal usage on city roads, the RS5 drives like any regular car with only a hint of what’s lurking below the hood. He says the car’s power reserve feels like a beast waiting to be unleashed. He adds that this attribute makes the car very practical. The cricketer says you can comfortably drive the RS5 to the gym or use it like any regular car on the traffic-infested city roads.
However, you can also push the pedal to the metal on an empty road and enjoy the car’s high performance. Virat says he has always seen sportscar owners who use their cars on public roads waiting for a track day. However, this car can be used in both the conditions without as much as breaking a sweat. This versatile nature of the RS5 is like a dream come true for any guy who wishes to make the most of his sportscar.
Virat says that driving the RS5 inspires confidence while also helping him catch eyeballs of other road users through the attractive design of the car. However, he is quick to add that the focus of road-users is as much on his attractive set of wheels as it’s on who’s behind the wheel. Towards the end of the video, Virat floors the throttle a bit to enjoy the hard acceleration and the sweet exhaust note of the RS5. Virat concludes by saying that the RS5 is your ‘City Sports Car’.
The latest RS5 is powered by a 2.9-litre turbocharged petrol engine that outputs 444 Bhp and 600 Nm. It can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. Virat is well-known for his huge collection of Audi cars, which includes A8 L, R8 V10 and Q7. Going by this video, the cricketer seems to be too happy with his latest machine from the renowned Ingolstadt-based premium carmaker.
