The Mahindra XUV500 is known for its value-for-money price tag. For those who want a butch looking seven-seater in the segment, the XUV500 makes the perfect choice. And if you’re on a tight budget, the XUV500 W5, which is the base variant, makes perfect sense. It is priced at Rs. 12.38 lakhs, ex-showroom, Delhi.
Even the base variant of the Mahindra XUV500 is quite loaded. The base variant gets features like electrically adjustable ORVMs, split tailgate, twin exhaust, roof rails, 6-way adjustable driver seat, dual HVAC, reading lamps, power windows, remote tailgate opening, glove box with laptop holder, flat foldable 2nd and 3rd-row seats and follow me headlamps.

Diesel 4X4 Automatic – W11 (O)
Mahindra XUV500 is the only vehicle in the segment to offer diesel-powered AWD with an automatic transmission. For people who are looking for a diesel automatic SUV with AWD capability, the XUV500 serves as the perfect choice. Even though it is available only with the top-end W11 (O) variant, it is priced at Rs. 19.05 lakhs, ex-showroom, Delhi, it remains cheaper than the closest diesel 4X4 automatic option available in the market.
The gearbox is a 6 speed automatic unit. Being the top-end version, the W11 (O) variant is loaded to the brim. It gets features like the leather cover on the dashboard and door trims, 18-inch diamond cut alloys, window chrome lines, illuminated scuff plates, all-chrome tailgate applique, power adjustable 8-way driver seat, driver express-up window, puddle lamps, camping lamp and door ajar lamps.

Mahindra offers 4 variants of the 4X2 automatic diesel XUV500. With the rising popularity of the automatic vehicles, a wider range of options seems like the right strategy. If you’re someone who is looking for a diesel-powered SUV that can take you on long highway rides on the weekends and yet can be a good city-runner, the 4X2 automatic will serve the purpose. The 2.2 litre mHawk turbocharged diesel engine with 155 Bhp-360 Nm outputs is offered on all variants of the XUV.

Mahindra also introduced the petrol variant of the XUV500 with the pre-facelift model. The 2.2-litre petrol engine of the XUV500 produces a maximum of 138 Bhp and 320 Nm. It is available with a 6 speed automatic transmission as standard and a single trim. If you’re looking for a value-for-money 4X2 petrol automatic SUV, then the G AT variant fits the requirement perfectly.

It is the cheapest diesel automatic in the segment and is priced at Rs. 14.85 lakhs, which is cheaper than the Toyota Innova Crysta and even the Tata Hexa.
