Honda launched the all-new, second-generation Honda Amaze a few days ago. Keeping up with the current trend of offering dealership-level accessories, Honda has also announced official customisation packages for the all-new Amaze. Here are all the details that you want to know about the customisation packages.
The all-new 2018 Amaze comes with two packages – Utility and Chrome package. Customers can choose from either of the packages at the time of buying the vehicle and the packs are installed by the dealership. The Utility Package consists of the door handle protector, front and rear bumper protector and side body moulding. The chrome package is more expansive and offers a wide range of accessories. The chrome pack, as the name suggests, gets a lot of chrome elements. It includes a new tail lamp chrome garnish, chrome door lining, fog lamp garnish and trunk garnish.
The official accessories offered by Honda is minuscule when compared to the Maruti Dzire that was also launched in an all-new avatar sometime back. Maruti Suzuki offers an online configurator to the customers that offer a wide range of customisation and additional accessories. The Maruti customisation program offers underbody spoilers, window visors, ORVM projection mats, interior floor mats, seat covers and much more. The Dzire can be customised in various different ways to look unique on the road but with the Honda Amaze, the options are quite limited.
Honda launched the Amaze at a starting price of Rs. 5.59 lakhs, ex-showroom. It offers the segment first CVT transmission with the diesel engine option. Even the petrol engine offers automatic CVT transmission with paddle shifters. The all-new Amaze gets many additions like LED DRLs integrated into the headlamps, new 15-inch alloy wheels and roomier interior among other things. The Amaze also offers a new infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Safety-wise, the all-new Amaze is loaded with front airbags, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist across all the variants as standard. Honda has announced that the first 20,000 units of the Amaze will get an introductory price tag. It also offers a class-leading 3-year unlimited kilometre warranty that can be extended to the 4th and 5th years with unlimited kilometres.
