In days from now, Hyundai will launch the facelifted, 2018 Creta compact SUV in the Indian market. The compact SUV gets styling and feature changes, and is likely to be priced similar to the outgoing model.
While we have seen the Creta Facelift inside out through spyshots and even a video of the vehicle, here is a brochure leak that reveals variant details and trims on the new SUV.
Hyundai will launch the facelifted Creta in no less than 13 variants, in Petrol MT, Petrol MT, Diesel 1.4 MT, Diesel 1.6 MT and Diesel 1.6 AT trims. The S+ and SX+ variants have now been discontinued. Here’s a quick overview of the Hyundai Creta Facelift’s variants:
As for new features, the 2018 Creta Facelift will get an electric sunroof on the top-end trim, a 6-way power-assisted driver’s seat, wireless smartphone charging, a new instrument cluster, a new colour scheme for the interiors and a smartband key that doubles up as an activity tracker.
As for the engines and transmissions, the current line-up will be carried over unchanged. In terms of visual changes, the facelifted Creta will get revised front and rear end styling, making for a fresher and more aggressive stance. The compact SUV gets twin airbags and ABS as standard safety features. The top-end trim offers 6 airbags.
The diesel engines on the Creta Facelift are 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre turbocharged units. The 1.4-litre motor makes 89 Bhp and 220 Nm. It gets a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. The 1.6-litre motor makes 126 Bhp and 260 Nm, and gets a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard while a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox is offered as an option.
The 1.6-litre, naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 122 Bhp and 151 Nm. Gearbox options are similar to what’s offered on the larger diesel motor. The facelifted Hyundai Creta has already begun arriving at dealerships across India. Bookings are now open and deliveries will begin soon after launch.
