BMW-owned Mini has launched refreshed versions of their current line-up in the Indian market. The British brand has launched the Mini Cooper S Convertible, Cooper D 3-door, Cooper D 5-door and the Cooper S 3-door in the Indian market. The prices of all the new variants are as follows.

Petrol: 3-door Cooper S – Rs. 33.2 lakhs, Convertible S – Rs. 37.1 lakhs

Diesel: 3-door – Rs. 29.7 lakhs, 5-door-Rs. 35 lakhs

All the new Mini models are visually updated and look quite fresh. The updates include a new larger grille finished in gloss black, new LED DRL rings and new fog lamps. The car also gets new oval-shaped ORVMs and larger LED tail lamps with the signature Union Jack design that is inspired by the 2017 Mini electric concept. All the vehicles are similarly updated to maintain uniformity in the family.

There are three new colours for buyers to choose from. Buyers can now get Emerald Grey metallic, Starlit Blue metallic and Solaris Orange metallic, which now take the number of colour options on the Mini hatchback line-up to 14. The petrol version also gets an optional piano-black finish on the exterior that adds a classy look by replacing the chrome around the headlamps, tail lamps and the radiator grille.

All the four cars get similar updates on the inside too. There is a new three-spoke steering wheel that gets integrated buttons, new sporty seats in brown leather and piano-black finish on the doors and centre console. Mini also offers a new optional pack for the interiors that adds ambient lighting to the interior surface on the passenger side of the dashboard. Also, there are other options that add ambient lights in 12 different colours.

The car gets a 6.5-inch infotainment system as standard, which can be upgraded to an 8.5-inch system. The infotainment system in itself is quite sophisticated and gets 20 GB internal memory. Mini also offers optional panoramic sunroof to the hardtop models.

The Mini 3-Door Cooper S and Convertible Cooper S are powered by 2.0-litre turbocharged, four-cylinder petrol engines that produce a maximum power of 189 Bhp and a maximum torque of 280 Nm. The engines get 7-speed dual-clutch transmissions. The diesel models are powered by a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder engine that produces a maximum of 112 Bhp and 270 Nm. The turbodiesel engine is paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
