While there are many extended warranty programs offered by manufacturers in India, there are a few manufacturers that offer a really good standard warranty. Here is a list of affordable cars, from each segment, that offers the best warranty. Please note that these are the standard warranties offered by the manufacturer and does not include the extended warranty programs.
Datsun Go
The Datsun Go is an entry-level hatchback that competes with the Maruti Alto in India. Datsun is a subsidiary of Nissan and offers a range of entry-level cars in the market. The Go hatchback is only available with the 1.2-litre petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 67 Bhp and 104 Nm. Datsun offers a standard warranty of 2 years and unlimited kilometres. It is the only car in the segment to offer unlimited kilometres. Hyundai Eon, which also belongs to the same segment, offers a standard warranty of 3 years but it is limited to 1 lakh kilometres.
Hyundai Grand i10
The Hyundai Grand i10 takes on the the Maruti Swift and Ford Figo in India, and is popular for its features. Hyundai offers the longest standard warranty in the segment, which is 3 years or 1 lakh KM. The warranty is applicable till the car reaches 1 lakh km or 3 years, whichever is earlier. The Grand i10 is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. It also gets a 4-speed automatic with the petrol version.
Honda Amaze
Honda recently launched the all-new Amaze in India. The second-generation Amaze takes on the highly popular Maruti Dzire and the Hyundai Xcent. Honda offers a standard warranty of 3 years and unlimited kilometres, which means that owners can drive as much they want without worrying about losing the warranty of the vehicle. The warranty is applicable for 3 years, which shows the confidence of the manufacturer in their vehicle.
Fiat Punto/Hyundai Elite i20
In the premium hatchback segment, Fiat and Hyundai offer a maximum of 3 years or 1 lakh km warranty on the Punto and Elite i20, respectively. They jointly offer the highest standard warranty in the segment. The Fiat Punto is known for its solid build quality, while the Elite i20 is known for its extremely long list of features and premium interiors.
Honda WR-V
The sub-4 meter compact SUV segment is quickly getting populated with new products. Honda entered the highly popular segment with the WR-V and soon the car became one of the best-sellers from the brand. The Honda City is available with both petrol and diesel engine options and gets pedal-shift enabled CVT automatic transmission with the petrol engine too.
Hyundai Creta
The Hyundai Creta has remained the best-selling SUV in its segment since its launch. Hyundai recently launched the facelifted version of the Creta in India and Hyundai offers 3 years/unlimited km warranty with the car. The Creta SUV comes with many unique features, such as wireless mobile charging, smart band integrated key, sunroof and more. Both the petrol and diesel engine options of the Creta get 6-speed automatic transmission.
Honda BR-V

Hyundai Elantra
Hyundai’s flagship sedan in India, the Elantra was launched in an all-new avatar in India in 2016. The D-segment sedan takes on the popular Toyota Corolla Altis in the segment, and offers the segment-best 3 year/unlimited km warranty. Hyundai offers an extended warranty, which can be bought separately to increase the warranty period of the vehicle.
