Honda Cars India will soon launch the updated Jazz on the Indian market. While the global markets get a facelifted version of the Jazz, the Indian market will get a different version of the vehicle. The upcoming Jazz is scheduled to be launched on 19th July and the vehicle has been completely revealed in pictures.
The facelifted version of the Jazz launched in the international markets gets many updates like aggressive bumpers that increase the length of the vehicle to 4.1m. However, the current version of the Jazz sold in India is just below the sub-4-meter mark that allows it to get tax benefits and price it competitively. It can be one of the reasons why the facelifted Jazz is not getting the similar updates like the international model. The India specific update of the Jazz will see minor changes to keep it fresh on the market. From the pictures, it is certain that the upcoming Jazz will get new tail lamps.
Even though the Jazz will carry the same looks as the current version of the vehicle available in India, it will be updated thoroughly from the inside. The premium hatchback will get a longer list of equipment. The leaked brochure also reveals that the vehicle will get four petrol and three diesel variants. The engine and transmission options will remain the same. Mechanically, Honda will not change anything in the upcoming Jazz.
On the inside, the premium hatchback will offer a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The design of the dashboard remains unchanged too. It gets the same layout as the current version of the hatchback in India.
The new Jazz gets dual front airbags, parking sensors, and ABS and EBD as standard across all the variants. Honda will also offer a top-end version with the petrol CVT version of the car. However, like the Amaze, the Jazz will not offer a diesel-CVT. The Jazz also gets a new central armrest, push-button start, power boot release and cruise control.
