Ford India is offering massive discounts of over Rs. 1 lakh on the Figo Aspire compact sedan to clear stocks before the facelifted model arrives in India. Here are the 5 biggest changes that the Figo Aspire will get, which is expected to make it a lot more attractive than the outgoing model.
Brand new looks
Both the front end and rear end styling of the Figo Aspire Facelift will get significant changes. The Figo Aspire Facelift’s styling will take cues from the Freestyle compact utility vehicle. The front and rear bumpers will be revised and so will be the grille.
New petrol engine & gearbox
The Figo Aspire Facelift will feature Ford’s brand new, 1.2 litre-3 cylinder petrol engine from the Dragon line-up. This triple cylinder motor will have class leading power and torque outputs of 95 Bhp-120 Nm. The motor will be paired with a new 5 speed manual gearbox.
New interiors
The facelifted Aspire will also get a makeover on the inside. The car will get a brand new infotainment touchscreen console with Ford’s SYNC3 interface. It’ll have Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for smartphone connectivity. The colour scheme on the interiors are expected to get a refresh as well, making the new car look a lot fresher than before.
New automatic gearbox
The facelifted model will get a new, 6 speed torque converter automatic gearbox option. This gearbox will be offered with the 1.2 litre Dragon petrol engine. Previously, the Figo Aspire Automatic used to feature a 1.5 litre Ti-VCT petrol engine with a 6 speed twin clutch automatic gearbox.
Better fuel efficiency!
The new 1.2 litre Dragon petrol engine is a 3 cylinder unit, and it replaces the 4 cylinder TI-VCT motor. While the new engine makes more power and torque, it is also be more fuel efficient thanks to its three cylinder layout. The exact quantum of mileage increase will be known at the time of launch, which is just a few weeks away.
