The Bugatti Veyron is a legend like none other. It’s easily among the most respected and even the most feared hyper-supercars of all times. Back when the Volkswagen Group first talked about its plans of building a true 400-kmph supercar, the entire world laughed at them. Developing the Veyron actually turned out to be very time-consuming and expensive. It’s said that the project turned out to be so expensive that Bugatti lost a lot of money on every Veyron they sold. However, it’s simply undeniable that this car is an engineering marvel like none other. Since the Veyron is so rare and was so expensive, not many people were able to buy it. Hence, some of them decided to build their own Veyron. Here are as many as five replica Bugatti Veyrons that are based on regular cars.

Honda Cityron

This replica of a Bugatti Veyron looks a lot like the real deal. It’s a really well-executed mod job that can pass off for a real Veyron to the untrained eye. Both the exterior and the interior have many similarities with the renowned hypercar. However, it’s actually based on a Honda City. The modification has been so well executed that this car even has a faux quad turbo engine at the rear. Also, both the dashboard and the steering wheel of the City has been redesigned to give it a Veyron-like appearance. The gear-lever and the instrument cluster, however, have been retained. Nevertheless, it’s a really well-executed mod job.

Tata Veyron AMT

The Tata Nano, until very recently, used to be one of the cheapest cars in the world. However, that didn’t stop some customisers from using the sub-compact hatchback to build a Veyron replica. Here, too, the customiser has done a pretty decent job with the conversion. While it’s easy to make out this isn’t an original Veyron, the mod-job captures most of the design elements of the hypercar. This Veyron replica is powered by the same 624-cc, twin-cylinder, 37 bhp engine that powers the Nano. This Veyron-replica has an AMT transmission.

On the inside, the owner of the car has retained many bits of the Nano’s interior. The speedo console, for example, is the same as that of the Nano. However, the dashboard trim has been changed and now has some faux wood and leather trim.

Honda Accron

vey 6

Self-proclaimed Godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insan not only tried to become a film star but also tried his hand at car modification. One of the cars that he made is this Veyron replica. Based on an old Honda Accord, this replica car gets a Veyron-ish profile. True, there’s a lot of disparity between this car and the real Veyron but the infamous Godman certainly managed to capture the essence of the Veyron’s design. The only bits of the Accord that have been retained are the front doors and ORVMs.

This Veyron replica is powered by the same 3.0-litre V6 that powered the last-gen Accord. It comes mated to an automatic transmission. Ram Rahim has given this Veyron replica a very loud paint scheme and a heart-shaped grille. Interestingly, this Veyron also has a sunroof.

Maruti Estron

vey 3

The Maruti Suzuki Esteem was a popular entry-level sedan that offered a direct steering and a peppy 1.3-litre petrol engine. The Esteem has been a favourite of many rallyists and car racers. The owner of this Maruti Esteem didn’t prepare his car for a rally or a circuit race. Instead, he modified it to look like one of the fastest cars in the world. Here, again, the replica doesn’t look anywhere as good as the original Veyron. However, some bits of its updated design do have a pretty strong resemblance to the hypercar.

Another Veynon

Here is another Bugatti Veyron replica that’s based on a Tata Nano. It’s said that the owner of this replica has owned some famous cars in the past, including the Rolls Royce Ghost and the Lamborghini Gallardo. Currently, he owns a Ferrari 458 Speciale and a Lamborghini Aventador. Of course, he also owns this Nano-based Bugatti Veyron. This mod-job has been carried out by famous Indian car designer DC. No surprise, then, that this one boasts of a great attention to detail.
