The Chinese are quite (in)famous for copying stuff. They have come up with cheaper iterations of apparels, electronics and even motorcycles. Here are a handful of copycat bikes from China.

UM Xtreet 250X vs KTM Duke

UM Motorcycles, which claims to have an American origin, has come up with a KTM Duke clone for the Chinese market. While the Xtreet 250X isn’t an exact copy, it gets pretty much the same design for the trellis frame, the fuel tank shrouds, split seats and the rear mudguard. Of course, the engine will be different and isn’t likely to have liquid-cooling. It also won’t be as powerful as the Duke 200.

Here’s another motorcycle that tries to mimic the KTM Duke. It’s called the C8 Tomahawk and looks a fair bit like the Duke. It certainly looks quite attractive and is available in 3 variants – 150cc, 250cc and 300cc.
