Mahindra Marazzo’s official twitter handle recently released a short video/teaser cut out of an advert. The video was captioned ‘Get an exclusive preview of the Mahindra Marazzo’ teaser TV ad. Smooth as a shark. Silent as a shark. Coming soon on 3rd Sept’18.’

The video clip which is just 10 seconds long shows a shark rising through water and moving towards a metropolitan city. The next scene shows the Marazzo front grille with water dripping all over it. The video then ends with Marazzo name being displayed along with the launch date of 3rd September. The background score seems to instill suspense into the clip.

This is actually a teaser of an upcoming advertisement of the Mahindra Marazzo MPV. As the company says that the Marazzo is inspired by a shark, the advert follows the same theme. This twitter handle is updated regularly and some time back gave us a peek into the interiors of the car. The company is working really hard to get this one right.

The grille design is the same as what we have been seeing for some time now. It features a U-shaped center piece with the Mahindra logo on top. The centre piece is flanked by several flattened D-shaped pieces, which are tilted at an angle. All the grille pieces are covered in chrome, giving them a premium finish. This one is very different from any other Mahindra grille we have seen in the past. This strengthens the fact that this car is being made from the ground up.

Talking about the car, the Marazzo is the most premium MUV by Mahindra yet. Its also the largest car in terms of  footprint by Mahindra till now. It will get a 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine good for 130 hp and 300-Nm torque that is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors will be standard across the full range. The car will be made available in both 7-seater and 8-seater configurations. There’s no official word on the pricing yet but expect it to start just below Rs. 10 lakh mark.
