Honda’s unconventional scooter offering, the CLiQ, gets a new television commercial video, which was shared by the company earlier this week. This new video, titled ‘Bade kaam ki CLiQ‘ showcases the USPs of the product and how a small town owner uses his set of wheels to deliver a projector to a rural school, in turn making the children feel special.

The 48 second commercial highlights parameters like a wider floor board, block pattern tubeless tyres, rear load carrier and the long and wide seat of the CLiQ. The scooter’s journey from the town to the village school includes broken roads, which highlights the rugged suspension and block pattern tyres. The rear load carrier comes handy while transporting the big projector for the school students. The video ends by showcasing the trust its owner has on it, something that is of utmost importance to Indian riders.

For the uninitiated, this scooter is powered by the same 109.19cc engine that is seen on the regular Activa, Dio and the NAVI. This is a tried and tested motor that has been powering Honda offerings for a decade now. It generates 8 bhp of power and 8.94 Nm of torque and delivers an easy 45-50kmpl in regular city riding. The CLiQ weighs just 102 kgs, which means the engine is good enough for most riding needs, including a pillion and the occasional highway run.

Priced at Rs 44,364 for the standard version and Rs 44,866 for the DLX variants, the CLiQ is among the most affordable 110cc gearless scooters in India. It is available in four colour options and is aimed at semi-urban and rural markets. The CLiQ also offers unconventional styling that goes down well with its rugged appeal. However, as compared to its siblings like the Activa 5G, Activa i and Dio, it isn’t really setting the sales charts on fire yet.
