Maruti Suzuki has lined up a slew of discounts in September 2018, which is a month that’s in the middle of the festive season. Even the hot-selling cars such as the Maruti Swift and Baleno are now available at decent discounts. The maximum discount on the Maruti Suzuki cars for September 2018 is Rs. 70,000. Here is a model-wise split of the various discounts.
Alto 800
Rs. 60,000 off
The Alto 800 has reclaimed the top spot in monthly sales numbers during August 2018 but this is not stopping Maruti from lining up chunky discounts on its least priced car. The Maruti Alto 800 is currently available with discounts of up to Rs. 55,000. All variants of the car get a cash discount of Rs. 25,000. There’s a Rs. 30,000 exchange bonus for selling your old car that’s less than seven years old to Maruti Suzuki True Value. If the old car is older than 7 years, the exchange bonus is reduced to Rs. 20,000.
Alto K10
Rs. 62,000 off
The Alto K10 is a bigger-engined sibling of the Alto 800. It’s powered by a K10 petrol engine with 67 Bhp-90 Nm. Both 5 speed manual and AMT options are on offer. While the manual variants of the Alto K10 are available with a cash discount of Rs 22,000, the AMT variants get cash discounts of Rs. 27,000. Also, there’s an exchange bonus of Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 35,000 on the manual and AMT variants, respectively. This bonus reduces by Rs. 10,000 for cars older than 7 years.
WagonR
Rs. 70,000 off
The Maruti Suzuki WagonR is currently available with a cash discount of Rs. 30,000 on manual variants (including the CNG-powered model) and Rs. 35,000 on the AMT variants. Additionally, there’s an exchange bonus of Rs. 30,000 on the petrol MT and CNG variants and Rs. 35,000 on the AMT models. The exchange bonus is Rs. 10,000 lesser for cars older than 7 years.
Celerio
Rs. 60,000 off
The first car to introduce automated manual transmission technology to India, the Maruti Suzuki Celerio is offered with a maximum discount of Rs. 60,000. The manual transmission-equipped petrol and CNG variants of the car get a cash discount of Rs. 25,000, while the AMT variants get a cash discount of Rs. 30,000. There is an exchange bonus of Rs. 25,000 on the manual transmission variants and Rs. 30,000 on the AMT models. For cars older than 7 years, the exchange bonus offered is Rs. 20,000.
Ignis
Rs. 30,000 off
Maruti now sells the Ignis only with petrol engine options. Both manual and AMT options are on offer. The Ignis gets a cash discount of Rs. 5,000 across variants. There’s also an exchange bonus of Rs. 25,000 regardless of the age of the car you sell to Maruti True Value.
Ertiga
Rs. 55,000
The Ertiga is all set to be replaced by an all-new model next month for private car buyers, although the older MPV will continue to be sold in the cab operator-specific Tour version. In a bid to clear inventory before the new model comes in, Maruti dealers are now offering discounts of up to Rs. 55,000. There are cash discounts of Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 10,000 off on petrol and CNG variants, respectively. The diesel gets a cash discount of Rs. 25,000. There’s also an exchange bonus of Rs. 30,000 on petrol and CNG variants and Rs. 35,000 on the diesel version. This amount reduces by Rs. 10,000 when cars older than 7 years are exchanged.
Swift
Rs. 52,000
Although the Swift is a best-seller, it’s still available at sizeable discounts. The special edition models of the petrol Swift are now getting a Rs 27,000 cash discount, which reduces to Rs. 20,000 in case of regular petrol models. The diesel variants of the car get a cash discount of Rs. 10,000. Exchange bonuses on the petrol and diesel Swifts stand at Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 25,000, respectively. However, this bonus reduces by Rs. 10,000 on cars older than 7 years.
Baleno
Rs. 22,000
It’s probably for the first time since launch over two years ago that the Maruti Baleno is selling at a discount. Maruti dealers are offering a flat Rs. 7,000 cash discount, while exchange bonus, regardless of the age of the car exchanged, stands at Rs. 15,000.
Dzire
Rs. 52,000
The cash discounts on India’s best-selling sedan – the Maruti Dzire – are the same as those that are offered on its hatchback sibling – the Swift. The only difference on the Dzire discount lies in the exchange bonus offered on the diesel model, which is Rs. 30,000 (Rs. 25,000 on the Swift Diesel).
