Jawa Motorcycles have made a comeback recently and they are back with a bang. The company unveiled 3 new models on the day of unveil and the new model line up starts at a reasonable of Rs. 1.50 lakhs. The most affordable bike among the trio is the Jawa 42, and the most pricy being the Jawa Perak. In the midst of the trio sits the retro themed bike called Jawa, which has been priced at Rs. 1.64 lakhs. The Jawa 42 will come with six colour options two choose from and today we bring you a video, courtesy Mukesh Studios. P, that shows two of the best colours on offer. Let’s take a look at them.
So the colours we see in the video are Galactic Green, which is essentially army green, and Halley’s Teal, which is a lighter shade of teal. The other four colours on option are Stralight Blue, Lumos Lime, Comet Red and Nebula Blue. Both the colours showcased in the video suit the bike’s personality. The army green (Galactic Green) looks quite cool and brings a butch look to the Jawa 42. The Halley’s Teal on the other hand is more subtle and looks quite different from other paint schemes available.
The Jawa 42 is powered by a 293 cc four stroke engine derived from Mahindra Mojo’s engine. The engine produces 27 Bhp of power and 28 Nm of torque. The liquid cooled engine is Bharat Stage 6 emission norms ready. The engine’s power and torque figures are quite impressive and easily bests its nearest competition, the Royal Enfield Classic 350. The Jawa 42 also gets a single channel ABS as standard and features disk brakes at front along with drums at rear.
The engine has a distinctive exhaust note which is neither too loud nor too dull. The twin cigar shaped exhaust pipe further compliment the overall look of the bike. Mated to a six speed gearbox, the bike is designed to be a city smart cruiser with lots of low end grunt. Also, with the six colour options to choose from, there is some for every taste. Bookings of the bike are already open while full scale delivery will commence from January.
