Tata Harrier, the latest product from Tata Motors has gained a lot of attention in the Indian market. The all-new SUV is currently available on a huge waiting period of around five months depending on the variant and colour. Last month, Tata dispatched close to 1,500 units of the Harrier in the Indian market. Here is a brand new Television Commercial (TVC) of Tata Harrier with the Fatima Sana Shaikh.

The TVC shows Fatima Sana Shaikh stranded on a secluded country road looking around for a lift in any passing vehicle. An SUV stops for her and as soon as she starts moving to get inside the SUV, a Tata Harrier from the opposite crosses the vehicle and stops for her too. Fatima then looks at the Harrier and goes for it showing the attractive design of the vehicle and how it is unavoidable on the road to ignore.

The Harrier has received a lot of appreciation when it comes to design. It is designed uniquely and gets bright LED DRLs as an extension of the front grille. The main headlamp cluster is positioned below. It gives a very modern and youthful look to the Harrier. The SUV gets the latest IMPACT 2.0 design language that gives it sharp looks. From the side, the swooping-down roof of the Harrier gives it a feeling of a vehicle from the luxury segment. The Harrier also gets large tail lamps and a thick black stripe joining them.

On the inside, the Tata Harrier offers a premium cabin with wooden inserts and floating-type steering wheel. It also gets an aircraft styled handbrake and leather-wrapped steering wheel and the gearshift lever. The Tata Harrier looks stylish inside out and its rising popularity in the market tells us the same story. It gets a value-for-money price tag too and the base version of the SUV is priced at Rs. 12.69 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

Tata Harrier gets powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine sourced from Fiat. Tata calls it KRYOTEC engine and it generates a maximum power of 140 PS and peak torque of 350 Nm. It gets a 6-speed manual transmission. However, the Harrier misses out on certain features like the sunroof and AWD system. However, there are plans to launch a new top-end version that will get the sunroof and Tata is even working on the AWD system for the Harrier. However, it gets various modes that work perfectly to ensure that the Tata Harrier can do light off-roading. It also gets various engine modes that change the power output according to the situation.

It is the first vehicle that is based on the OMEGA Arc platform. Tata will soon launch the Buzzard in India, which is the seven-seater version of the Harrier.
