Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) launched the limited edition version of the Activa 5G scooter in India a few days back. The limited edition model comes with two new dual tone colour schemes as well as a number of other aesthetic enhancements which make it look good. Prices for the Honda Activa 5G limited edition start at Rs 55,032 (for the Activa 5G Limited Edition STD) and go all the way up to Rs 56,897 for the Activa 5G Limited Edition DLX. The video below by Jet wheels shows how the scooter looks like in real life. Take a look at the video to get a better idea of the differences between the regular Activa and this limited edition model.

As seen in the video, the changes made on the limited edition Activa are purely aesthetical in nature. The Limited Edition Honda Activa 5G comes with about 10 new premium style additions. It is available in two new dual-colour options – Pearl Precious White with Matte Selene Silver, and Strontium Silver Metallic with Pearl Igneous Black. Both these colour schemes look quite good on the scooter and one can choose them according to their own preference.

ApaThe new Honda Activa 5G Limited Edition gets new stylish graphics all around its body. The term ‘limited edition’ is plastered over several places across the body of the scooter. The rims have been blacked out to give a more sporty look to the Activa while the engine has been blacked out too. The muffler now gets a chrome cover while the grab rail, the inner side of the apron and seat cover are also finished in brown or black colour, depending upon the choice of the buyer. All in all, the whole lot of aesthetic additions have resulted in a better-looking Activa that might appeal more to the masses.

Honda Activa 5g Limited Edition

There have been no changes on the mechanical front and the limited edition Activa runs on the same configurations as the regular Activa. It is powered by a 109.2 cc air-cooled engine that puts out 8 bhp of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 9 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The Honda Activa series is the best selling scooter series in India for a long time. They are known for their reliability and hassle-free operation more than anything else.

Honda is currently working on the new generation Honda Activa which will meet the Bharat Stage VI (BS6) emission regulations coming in force from next year. This limited edition is therefore just a way to clear out inventories and make way for the new model. Another development happening in the market right now is the increasing popularity of electric scooters from manufacturers like Ather and Okinawa. Bajaj and Mahindra are also developing electric scooters and will launch them here by next year.
