Honda Cars India has just launched the Amaze Ace edition of the compact sedan. The special edition of the Amaze is meant to commemorate 1 lakh sales of the compact sedan in just 13 months of launch. The 2nd generation Honda Amaze was launched at the 2018 Indian Auto Expo, and from word go, the car has been a best seller for Honda. The Amaze is now firmly in second place in India’s compact sedan space, behind the best selling Maruti Dzire. The Ace Edition of the Honda Amaze is based on the top-end VX trim of the car, and is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. There are three colours on offer: Radiant Red, Lunar Silver and White Orchid Pearl. Bookings for the Amaze Ace are now open, and deliveries will commence shortly.

The Honda Amaze Ace Edition’s ex-showoroom all-India pricing is as follows: Petrol MT – Rs 7,89,200, Petrol CVT – Rs 8,72,200, Diesel MT – Rs 8,99,200 and Diesel CVT – Rs 9,72,200. As the price list indicates, the Ace edition of the Honda Amaze is offered with 2 engines: a 1.2 liter i-VTEC petrol with 88 Bhp-110 Nm and a 1.5 liter i-DTEC turbocharged diesel engine with 98.6 Bhp-200 Nm (manual)/80 Bhp-160 Nm (CVT automatic). Both engines are offered with manual and CVT automatic gearbox options. The Amaze is the only compact sedan in India to offer a CVT automatic option on diesel trim. The car is a smooth and punchy performer even in diesel-automatic trim, and is highly recommended for those who want a frugal and convenient yet peppy diesel automatic compact sedan.
