Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is currently the most successful pick-up truck in the Indian market for private car buyers. Isuzu has launched a limited-edition Z-Prestige variant of the V-Cross that gets a segment-first 6-speed automatic transmission. It also gets an all-new 1.9-litre diesel engine. It is available at a price of Rs 19.99 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
The main highlight of the new V-Cross Z-Prestige is the new 1.9-litre diesel engine. The four-cylinder all-new engine is tuned to produce a maximum power of 150 PS and peak torque of 350 Nm. It is already available in the international markets. The regular variants of the Isuzu V-Cross in India get the 2.5-litre diesel engine that generates a maximum of 135 PS and peak torque of 320 Nm. It should be noted that Isuzu claims that the new 1.9-litre engine is also more fuel-efficient apart from being more powerful than the 2.5-litre engine.
The limited-edition V-Cross is the official facelifted version of the truck in the international markets. It is not known if it will be launched to replace the current version of the V-Cross in the market at a later time. Since it a facelifted version, it gets a new, much bolder front grille. Also, the headlamps have been updated and now it gets bi-LED set-up, which is extremely bright and lights up the way quite well. The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross also gets new diamond-cut 18-inch alloy wheels that fill up the strong wheel arches of the vehicle. At the front, the V-Cross also gets new fog lamps in the chrome bezel. It adds a premium look to the vehicle. Also, the Z-Prestige trim gets a shark fin antenna on the roof. There are also newly designed side steps that add to the overall appeal of the vehicle and makes getting in and out of the vehicle easy. The exterior of the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross also looks extremely sophisticated, thanks to the blacked-out B-Pilar. At the rear, it gets an all-LED tail lamp set-up, which adds the premium quotient to the vehicle.
The changes are not limited to the exteriors. The cabin also gets updated heavily and it now gets two-tone Brown-Grey perforated leather seats. The dual-cockpit design of the Isuzu V-Cross makes the cabin very classy and segregates all the different functions. The Z-Prestige variant also gets a piano black garnish on the dashboard, adding a sporty touch while the doors and dash trims are made up of soft-touch material.
The rear-seat passengers also get a USB charging port, which allows the occupants to charge the devices on the move. Safety features in the car include PESS, which stands for Passive Entry & Start-Stop system, seatbelt with pre-tensioner and load limiter, speed-sensitive auto door lock, driver and co-driver seat belt reminder, hill start assist, hill descent control, 6-airbags and Brake Override System.
