When every car manufacturer is busy increasing the price of their cars, Ford has announced that the Ford Figo and the Figo Aspire sedan have received massive price cuts. The new prices will take the competition to a next level as the new prices now place the Aspire and Figo much closer to the competitors.
The Figo hatchback has gone through a price cut of up to Rs. 50,000 while the Figo Aspire sedan receives huge Rs. 91,000 price cut depending on the variants. The prices of base and the automatic variants of both the cars remain same.
The new price has increased the difference between the petrol top spec Figo Aspire and newly launched Ameo by Rs. 76,000 while bringing it very close to the top-spec price of Maruti Suzuki DZire. Between the top spec of DZire and Figo Aspire, the difference is only Rs. 7,000 now. The move also makes the top-spec Figo cheaper than the Maruti Swift in both petrol and diesel guises.
The new prices should boost the sales of the Figo twins which has seen a decline in last month sale. Both the cars are powered by 1.2-litre petrol engine producing a maximum power of 86.8 Bhp and 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces 98.6 Bhp of maximum power.
Both Ford Figo and Figo Aspire offer best in class safety aids and features and the price cut will surely attract more footfalls in the Ford showrooms. Interestingly, Ford announced a similar price cut of EcoSport that aligned with the launch of Maruti Vitara Brezza and the EcoSport has been doing very well in the market.
