The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross can be said to be the first pick-up truck in India that is also popular with the masses. Isuzu launched a facelifted model of the V-Cross a few months back in June but now. The video below shows the third-gen Isuzu D-Max which will be unveiled internationally on the 11th of this month. On the 11th of this month, the current model will be replaced by the third-gen Isuzu D-Max internationally. Going by what Isuzu says, the next-gen Isuzu D-Max V-Cross pick-up truck will feature an “Infinite Potential” theme. Talking about the exterior body design, the end of the all-new Isuzu D-Max will come with a larger front grille that will incorporate twin ‘fang-like’ projections towards the grille. Flanking the grille are a new pair of headlamps that are smaller than on the outgoing model and have U-shaped LED DRLs inside them. The rear end gets newly designed tail lamps.
The front end has been redesigned to look more stylish and appealing. A new bumper, Bi-LED headlamps, and a larger chrome grille are the main styling elements on the front. Details about the interiors, however, still remain elusive, though the vehicle will certainly get a more modern cabin design. The newly facelifted current-gen Isuzu D-Max V-Cross that was sold in India is powered by a new 1.9-litre diesel engine which develops 150 PS of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Also, the 1.9-litre diesel engine is BS-IV compliant but Isuzu will upgrade the engine to BS-VI standards by early 2020. Prices for the pick-up truck start at Rs. 15.51 lakhs for the standard variant and Rs. 17.03 lakhs for the Z variant.
The sides and the rear are almost the same, save for a new alloy wheel design, new side steps to design and updated LED taillights. The new alloys look quite stylish and are 18-inch units. The towering stance of the D-Max V-Cross though is still maintained and it looks as butch as ever. The facelifted model comes with several safety features as standard including dual airbags, ABS+EBD, ISOFIX child seat hooks, rear parking sensors, and speed alerts. The new V-Cross will be available in two trim levels – ‘Standard Grade’ and ‘High Grade’ (Z).
