Renault Triber, the newest 7-seater vehicle in the market was launched last month by the French manufacturer. While Renault also launched the facelifted version of the Kwid on 1st October 2019, the sales report of the last month indicates that the Triber has now become the best-selling vehicle of the brand and has outsold the Kwid too.
The sales report released by the manufacturer mentions that a total of 4,710 units of the Renault Triber were dispatched in the month of September. In the same month, Renault dispatch a total of 2,995 units of the Kwid. All the other Renault models have a lower sales figure and these both vehicles. The Renault Duster is the third best-selling vehicle from the brand and has 544 units against its name while 78 units of the Renault Lodgy were sold in the same period. It should be noted that only 18 units of the Renault Captur, the most expensive vehicle of the brand were dispatched in September.
The dispatch number of the Kwid and the Triber are expected to change massively next month. This is due to the launch of the new Kwid, whose dispatch numbers will reflect on the sales figures of October, which will be released next month. Since the Triber is an all-new vehicle, the dispatch number shown in the chart include the vehicles that have been released to the dealers as display vehicles and also test-drive vehicles. The dispatch numbers are not the actual sales figure, which means it does not show the exact number of vehicles sold by the manufacturer. It will take a couple of months before the sales figures of the Renault Triber and the Renault Kwid will settle down. We will get to know which vehicle out of the two is more popular in the market.
The Renault Triber is the most affordable 7-seater car from the brand and it is based on the same platform as the Kwid. It gets a starting price tag of Rs 4.95 lakhs, which makes it one of the most affordable 7-seater MPVs in the country. It is a sub-4m vehicle that offers a unique feature that allows the owners to detach and attach the last row seats as per requirement. This offers a lot of flexibility to the owners.
The Triber is powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 71 Bhp and peak torque of 96 Nm. It gets a 5-speed manual transmission at the moment. However, with the rising demand for the automatic vehicles in the market, we can very well expect an AMT version of the car in the coming times.
