The Maruti Suzuki WagonR is one of the best selling hatchbacks in the country. It has been on sale for nearly two decades now and was given a generation update this January. The car features a tallboy design which is one of its distinguishing features. It rivals the likes of the Tata Tiago, Maruti’s own Celerio, and the Datsun Go among others in its segment. Prices for the new WagonR (approx on-road) start from under Rs. 5 lakhs and go all the way up to Rs. 7 lakhs which makes it quite an affordable car to buy. However, for those who are looking for a smart buy, here is an almost new WagonR hatchback that is selling for around Rs. 2 lakhs less than what it costs as new.
The blue WagonR you see in the images here is up for sale and can be bought for just Rs. 5.25 lakhs. It is the ZXi 1.2 variant which is the top end manual transmission model in the WagonR lineup. The car has covered a total distance of around 4,600 km till date which is not much for any car. According to its seller, the car has been insured with a full bumper to bumper insurance cover. The car was registered in April this year and therefore is only around 6 months old by now.
The images also show that the first owner of this WagonR has fitted it with a generous amount of accessories and dollops of chrome. The front grille, ORVMs, window sill along with fog lamps and taillamps cluster have been given chrome treatment. Rub strips on both front and rear are also present along with door rub protectors and window visor. All in all, you get a lot more than just the car for Rs. 2 lakhs less than its actual on-road price.
Coming to the interiors, they are mostly stock and look almost new. The dual-tone dashboard gets a touchscreen infotainment system at the centre while the AC controls are placed below. The steering wheel gets silver inserts and mounted controls for the infotainment system and the Bluetooth telephony. The upholstery and the cabin carry over the typical beige theme.
The Maruti Suzuki WagonR featured here gets powered by a 1.2-litre engine four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 82 Bhp of power at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 113 Nm at 4,200 rpm. This is the same engine that also does duty on the likes of Ignis and the Swift among others. Transmission duties on this car are taken care of by a 5-speed manual gearbox. Maruti also offers a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine with the WagonR that produces 67 Bhp of power at 5,500 rpm along with 90 Nm of peak torque at 3,500 rpm.
