However, their popularity also means that the waiting period on some of these SUVs can extend to quite a bit. The Sub-4 meter SUV segment brings in the most volumes among other SUV segments. Starting with the Maruti Vitara Brezza, the popular vehicle is available instantly in a lot of cities and its maximum waiting period is 6 weeks. Coming to the Hyundai Venue, the current segment leader can be driven home almost instantly in cities like Ghaziabad, Lucknow, Gurgaon, Jaipur or Ahmedabad. For other cities, buyers will get their delivery after Diwali and the maximum waiting period for the Venue is up to 3 months.
Next up is the Mahindra XUV300, which can be brought home before Diwali in most cities as the waiting periods are quite low. The maximum waiting period of this SUV in 1 month in the city of Ghaziabad. The Tata Nexon, on the other hand, is readily available in almost all cities with its highest waiting period being 6 weeks in Patna. Lastly, the Ford EcoSport is also easily available in most cities apart from Pune, Jaipur and Kolkata where waiting periods can extend up to 1 month.

The Hyundai Creta can be brought home within 2 weeks in most cities. Some cities like Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Thane and Faridabad have higher waiting periods though, with the maximum being 2 months. The new entrant Kia Seltos has very high waiting periods stretching up to 4 months. Chennai is the only city where the Seltos can be had without any waiting period.
Talking about the MG Hector, the mid-size SUV is one of the best sellers in its segments and hence the waiting periods on it are quite high. The minimum waiting period is 2 months while the maximum goes up to 5 months. Lastly, the Jeep Compass can be brought home before Diwali in cities like Pune, Chennai Jaipur among others. However, other cities including New Delhi, Bangalore, Thane and Indore etc have higher waiting periods.
