Kia Motors made a grand entry this year with their first product Seltos SUV in the Indian market. The Seltos turned out to be an instant success and is one of the best selling SUV in its segment. The SUV is so popular that it has waiting periods up to three months, depending up on the variants you choose and the city you are from. Kia is not a new brand internationally, they had their presence in other countries with cars like Sportage, Rio etc. Australia is one such market where Kia has it’s presence and they recently launched Seltos SUV there also. What does Australians think about the new Seltos SUV?. Here we have 3 Australian video reviews from Cartell.tv , GoAutoVideo and Any Auto TV on the all new Seltos SUV.

Starting with the video review from CarTell.tv, the anchor seems pretty impressed with the way the Seltos looks and says that it will stand out in the crowd. The anchor during the drive mentioned that she doesn’t like CVTs personally and that is what exactly variant she was driving. She was impressed by the features like the class leading touchscreen infotainment, interior quality and the interior space. Interior space is something she keeps on mentioning in the video. After driving the petrol CVT Seltos the anchor was left impressed and she said on camera that she liked the CVT in Seltos.

Unlike the Seltos sold in India, Australians get different set of engines with the Seltos. Seltos in Australia gets a 2.0L petrol and  1.6L turbo petrol engine. The 2.0L gets the CVT and only comes with 2WD whereas the 1.6L gets the DCT and gets 4WD. The trims are also different or may be a bit less confusing than what we have in India. Seltos comes in S, Sport, Sport+ and GT Line trims only.

Second video is from GoAutoVideo. In Australia the Seltos competes with cars like Mitsubishi ASX and Nissan Qashqai in the segment. The video says for a sub-4 metre SUV Seltos has generous amount of space on the inside for both front and rear passengers. He says the ride quality and the NVH levels are commendable for an SUV of this segment. Overall he is impressed and calls Seltos a value for money option. He even thinks that Seltos is a genuine SUV and not a jacked up hatchback.

Third video from Any Auto TV. Here they are impressed with the design, interiors, features, steering wheel and the suspension part.Even though find a couple of negative things about the car, there was no major glitch. The video ends by saying that Kia has done an excellent job which says how much they liked the car. Kia Seltos is likely to be a game changer for the sub-4 metre segment in Australian market just like what it is doing in India.
