Mahindra is working on a slew of new vehicles for India. Their XUV 700 has already made a lot of hype in the Indian market. They are also working on the Scorpio whose launch has been delayed. The Scorpio will now launch around February 2022. The SUV was recently spied on Indian roads and it was taped on a video. The video is uploaded on YouTube by AutoTrend TV.

From the video, we can see that the dimensions of the SUV have grown quite a bit. This means that there will be more cabin space and room for the occupants to move around. It will be based on a reworked ladder frame chassis. So, expect the ride quality to be better and handling should also improve. Mahindra has kept the boxy shape of the Scorpio which makes it distinguishable on the road.

It will have C-shaped LED Daytime Running Lamp surrounds for the fog lamps. There are new twin-pod projector headlamps that also uses LEDs. The grille has also grown now and it has six vertical slats. You also get a flat bonnet and pronounced wheel arches. The alloy wheels that are being used by the SUV gets 10 spokes and they are wrapped by MRF Wanderer tyres.

At the rear, there is a side-hinged door that gets a conventional door handle to open it. You also get a shark-fin antenna, a rear wiper with a washer and a rear spoiler. Moreover, you also get roof rails. It is not yet known if the roof rails will be functional or not.

Interior

Earlier, the interior pictures of the Scorpio were leaked online. They revealed that the Scorpio will be now come with an electric sunroof for the very first time. This will help in letting in light to the cabin so that it does not feel claustrophobic. The sunroof was important because the cabin of the SUV is finished in black and the upholstery is finished in dark brown.

Other things we learned from the spy shots are some switchgear will be derived from the Mahindra Thar but will be given chrome surrounds so that it does not feel out of place or cheap. There will be a multi-information display, multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, automatic climate control, keyless entry and much more. Mahindra will also offer a new generation of touchscreen infotainment systems which will come with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Overall, the new Scorpio will provide a much better cabin experience than the current one.

Engine and transmission

Mahindra will offer the new Scorpio with both a diesel and a petrol engine. The petrol engine will be a 2.0-litre unit that will be turbocharged and will come with direct injection. It will be producing around 165 to 175 PS of max power. There will also be a 2.2-litre diesel engine that will produce around 150 to 160 PS of max power. The exact power and torque figures are not known as of now. Both the engines will be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Mahindra will offer a 4×4 drivetrain with the Scorpio on the higher variants only.

Bajaj is one of India’s leading two wheeler manufacturer and is best known for their Pulsar series motorcycles. The Pulsar brand is quite popular among young motorcyclists in India for its performance and price. We already are aware of the fact that Bajaj is currently working on a new motorcycle. Bajaj is working on a 250-cc motorcycle which will probably be the most powerful motorcycle in the Pulsar series. The pictures of upcoming 250-cc naked motorcycle from Bajaj have already on the internet but, it looks like there is more. Recently, a Bajaj motorcycle with fairing was spotted testing under heavy camouflage. The bike is expected to be named as Bajaj Pulsar 250F.

The new spy pictures have been shared by Motoroids on their website. The Bajaj Pulsar 250F seen in the images looks like a sports tourer and will be positioned above Pulsar 220F. This when launched will be flagship model Bajaj Pulsar series. From the picture it looks like the bike will be offering a relaxed riding position with raised clip on handle bars. The front gets a fairing and a windshield and the rear view mirrors are placed on the fairing just like what we have seen in Pulsar RS200 and 220F.

It looks like, Bajaj will be using some parts from other Pulsar series motorcycles. For example, the exhaust looks similar to what we have seen in Pulsar RS 200 and the alloys also have a similar design. It is not clear whether the front would get USD but, rear gets monoshock suspension. The rear of this motorcycle looks like it was inspired from Bajaj Pulsar NS200. Overall, the bike looks quite sharp in terms of design.

The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 250F motorcycle is expected to be based on a new platform. Unlike what we have seen in the past, Bajaj might also introduce a new 250-cc engine to the motorcycle. In terms of power, the upcoming motorcycle is expected to generate more power than any other Pulsar motorcycle in the market. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch. The bike will come with disc brakes both at the front and rear and will be equipped with dual-channel ABS.

The spy picture does not show how the front profile of the Bajaj Pulsar 250F looks like. It is not known whether Bajaj will offer a twin projector headlamp setup of a single unit like what used to be available with AS150 and AS200 series motorcycle. Like many other motorcycles in the market, Bajaj might also introduce Bluetooth connectivity features with navigation, fully digital instrument cluster, USB chargers and other features.

The 250-cc segment not seen much action in sports tourer segment in a very long time. If Bajaj launches the Pulsar 250F in the market at an attractive price point, it could do wonders. Once launched, Bajaj Pulsar 250 will have no direct competitor in the segment. Currently there is no news on when Bajaj will be launching their all-new 250-cc motorcycle in the market.

Tata Safari vs Hyundai Alcazar SUV in a classic drag race

Just like the compact and mid size SUV segment, the 7-seater SUV segment is also growing in our market. Earlier we only had Mahindra XUV500 in this segment. Now manufacturers like Tata, Hyundai and MG have also entered this space. Tata launched Safari in the market earlier this year and Hyundai Alcazar was launched recently. Both these SUVs are doing pretty well in the market. We have seen several videos of both these SUVs online some of them have been featured on our website as well. Here we have a video where both Safari and Alcazar are seen in a classic drag race.

The video has been uploaded by HEAT 17 on their YouTube channel. The video starts with technical specifications of both the SUVs. The Tata Safari is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged diesel engine that generates 170 Ps and  350 Nm of peak torque. Hyundai Alcazar on the other hand is powered by a smaller 1.5 litre turbocharged diesel engine that generates 115 Ps and 250 Nm of peak torque. Tata Safari used in this video comes with an automatic transmission while the Alcazar gets a manual gearbox. Alcazar is also available with an automatic gearbox option.

For this race, vlogger chooses an empty stretch of road. The tarmac was wet as it was raining during the race. Both SUVs were lined up for the race and when the race started, Hyundai Alcazar moved off the line with some amount of wheel spin. It felt like Alcazar had an advantage over Tata Safari and will maintain the lead but, as the car was shifted to second gear, Tata Safari can be seen overtaking the Alcazar.

Tata Safari automatic moved off the line less aggressively in comparison to Alcazar but, within seconds the lag was all gone and Safari started showing its true colours. It took the lead within seconds and maintained it throughout the race. Hyundai Alcazar kept on trying to overtake Safari but, the gap between the cars only increased. Alcazar was around 2 seconds slower than Tata Safari when it crossed the finish line. Only one round was conducted as it was quite clear from the first round itself that the Alcazar did not stand a chance.

There are several reasons why Alcazar could not win the race against Safari. The main reason being the engine. Safari’s engine is far more powerful and generates more torque than Alcazar. To be exact, Safari generates 55 Ps more power 100 Nm more torque than Alcazar. Another factor was the gearbox. Safari’s automatic gearbox meant, driver does not have to manually shift the gears and during this process you loose precious time which is crucial during a drag race.

Another problem with Hyundai Alcazar other than the smaller engine was its power delivery. Vlogger mentions that the power delivery in Hyundai Alcazar did not feel aggressive. It was linear and it also felt that the SUV felt a bit underpowered. Although Alcazar is lighter than Safari, the more power and torque from Safari’s engine pushed the seven seater SUV across the finish line first.

GMC Denali next to a Honda City looks gigantic

The American guzzlers are popular around the world for their sheer size and power. Because of the utilitarian value, the pick-up trucks are quite popular in the USA and brands like GMC and Ford compete for the best trucks and SUVs in the market. GMC, which is a part of General Motors is one of the oldest companies in the USA and they even supply vehicles for the presidents and most important personalities of the country.

GMC are not on sale in the Indian market officially. However, there are many who import these vehicles to India officially and even get them converted from LHD to RHD to register and use them in India. Here is one such GMC Sierra Denali that is imported by an enthusiast in India.

The vehicle was spotted in Pune, Maharashtra. While in the pictures, we do not get to see the massiveness of these vehicles and there is nothing much to compare these monsters in the USA as most of the cars are full-size SUVs.

These pictures posted by Premster14 and CarCrazyIndia show how big the GMC Sierra Denali HD is in real life. The vehicle is parked next to a Honda City and you can see the monstrous measurements of the vehicle.

Honda City is not a small car according to Indian standards. It is a mid-size sedan and measures close to 4.5 metres, which makes it longer than the hatchbacks that you see on the Indian roads. But alongside the Sierra Denali, the City looks puny, to say the least.

Big vehicles on Indian roads

According to the official measurements, the GMC Sierra HD Denali measures close to 6 metres in length, which can dwarf most of the vehicles in the Indian mass-segment category. In fact, from the side, it completely hides the Honda City.

We are not sure about the engine option that powers this truck but the least powerful engine available with the model is a petrol guzzler. It is a massive 6.6-litre V8 engine that generates a maximum power of 401 PS and a peak torque of 629 Nm.

With the shrinking Indian roads and the addition of thousands of cars daily, there is actually no space for such big vehicles on the Indian roads. It can become rather tiring driving such massive vehicles through the Indian city roads as most of the time, you will keep looking for space to move ahead safely.

With the government’s policy to promote sub-4m cars with small engines with tax reduction and congested city roads, most people choose small cars to navigate easily through the roads. That is why vehicles like pick-up trucks never became quite popular in the Indian market.

Hyundai is India’s second largest car manufacturer and they have a variety of products in their line up. The brand has grown in our market because of its product variety and widespread dealer network. They kept on making tweaks to their existing products and brought new products to keep buyers engaged. One of their recent launches in Indian market was the Alcazar SUV. Alcazar is Hyundai’s first ever 7-seater SUV for India. It is  Ps based on current generation Hyundai Creta and competes with cars like Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV500, MG Hector Plus in the segment. Hyundai has now released a new video for the Alcazar showing how flexible the seats in this SUV are.

The video has been shared by Hyundai India on their YouTube channel. In this video, Hyundai shows how you can generate more space for luggage in case you need it. Hyundai Alcazar is a three row SUV and comes with 6 and 7 seater options. The second row comes with bench seats and captain seat options. There are features like wireless phone charger for second row passenger which is introduced in a car of this segment for the first time.

With all three row seats up, Hyundai Alcazar offers only 180 litres of boot space. If you are not using the third row and want to keep luggage, then the third row seats can be easily folded down to create more space. After folding the third row seat, Alcazar now has 579 litres of boot space. That should be enough to carry your luggage for a weekend trip. Now, if that is not enough and want more space, then you can also fold the second row seats and the space will increase to 1051 litres. This how flexible the seats in Hyundai Alcazar are.

Hyundai Alcazar is based on Hyundia Creta but, is different from Creta in many ways. It starts with the wheelbase. The Alcazar has a longer wheelbase than Creta. In fact, Alcazar has the longest wheelbase in this segment. This has been done to generate more space inside the cabin.  There are several design elements on the exterior that differentiates Alcazar from Creta. Hyundai Alcazar is offered in Prestige, Platinum and Signature  trims. Even the base Prestige variant of Alcazar is decently equipped when compared to the rivals.

Hyundai Alcazar is launched at a starting price of Rs 16.30 lakh, ex-showroom which is expensive than its rivals but, it is offering more features for that added price. Alcazar comes with ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, touchscreen infotainment screen, digital instrument cluster, connected car features, voice command features, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensor, TPMS, HSA, Airbags and so on.

Hyundai Alcazar is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version of the SUV is powered by a 2.0 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that 159 Ps and 191 Nm of peak torque. This same petrol engine is also used in Hyundai Elantra as well. The diesel version is powered by a 1.5 litre turbo diesel engine that is also seen in Creta. Both petrol and diesel engine options are available with manual and automatic gearbox options.

Blast from the past: Watch the first Tata Indica roll out as Ratan Tata watches [Video]

Indica is the vehicle that put Tata Motors on the radar of the Indian automobile industry. It was the Auto Expo of 1998 when Tata unveiled the Indica. It was marketed as a family hatchback. The headline of the advertisement itself said: “You will never have to suffer a small car again”. So, people were interested in the hatchback. Before Indica mostly there was the Maruti 800 and Maruti Zen which were quite small vehicles. Here, is a video of the Tata Indica rolling out the factory.

The video is uploaded by WildFilmsIndia and it shows how the Indica was manufactured. There are workers working on the production line, there are robots welding and making the monocoque and there is a person who is making the engine. We also see Ratan Tata in the video. He says, “It is a tough time to enter the market hopefully the recession will not be there forever.”

Indica was a vehicle that was specifically made for India. Ratan Tata ensured that the Indica fulfilled the requirements of the common man. So, the car needed to be compact with good cabin space and should deliver good fuel efficiency. Another important thing was that it should not be very expensive so that the common man of India could afford it. In fact, Ratan Tata himself once said in an interview, “It would have the size of the Maruti Zen, the internal dimensions of an Ambassador and come at the price of a Maruti 800 with the running cost of a diesel,”

Quality issues

While Indica was able to hit all these points, there were other major concerns that came in the form of product quality issues. It was the first time for Tata Motors to make a passenger vehicle. The demand was very high and their workforce did not know how to ramp up the production while maintaining the quality. Till now the manufacturer was making trucks and buses.

Fortunately, Tata was able to fix all the glitches by modifying the production process and making the quality control more strict. This is when they launched the much better version of Indica called Indica V2 and it was an instant success. The Indica was the first vehicle from India to get rebadged and to be sold in the international markets. It was sold as MG CityRover in the British market.

Specs

The Indica was the only vehicle that was powered by a diesel engine in its segment for many years. This was an advantage as diesel was cheaper and returned more fuel efficiency. The diesel engine produced 53.5 bhp of max power and a peak torque output of 85 Nm. There was also a 1.4-litre petrol engine on offer that produced  60 bhp of max power and a peak torque output of 104 Nm.

The later versions of the diesel engine were more powerful as they got turbocharged and got a larger intercooler. The engine started producing 68 bhp and 127 Nm of torque. Also, now the gearbox was a 5-speed unit. The Indica was launched on December 30th, 1998 and it already had 1,15,000 bookings of Indica in just 2 weeks. The starting price of the Indica was kept at Rs. 2.59 lakhs ex-showroom while you could get the top-end DLX variant for Rs. 3.9 lakhs ex-showroom.

2022 Tata Xenon pickup truck: What it could look like

$

0

In Indian market, pick up trucks are normally associated with commercial segment and that is one of the reason why these have not been popular among buyers in private segment. Manufacturers like Mahindra, Tata have tried launching lifestyle pickup trucks but, unfortunately these never picked up in the market. The only manufacturer who managed to create a space for themselves was Isuzu with V-Cross. Tata had Xenon pick up truck in the market but, it never got the fame or popularity like Isuzu V-Cross. Here we have a render that shows how Xenon 4×4 pick up truck would look like, if Tata were to launch one in 2022.

The render has been created and shared by nstreet_designs on their Instagram profile. The artist has completely redesigned the exterior of the pick up truck. It gets an entirely new design which inspired from the Tata Harrier and Safari. The front gets a grille that is seen on modern day Tata cars. The LED DRLs are retained and they are actually acting as an extended part of the grille. The headlamps are placed on the bumper. The front grille gets tri-arrow design elements but, they are all blacked out to give it a rugged finish.

Coming down, the front bumper has been modified too. It gets an off-road bumper with shackles on it. In comparison to Safari or Harrier, Xenon 2022 looks a lot more butch. There are no chrome elements anywhere on the pick up. Coming to the side profile, we see the chunky off-road tyres and aftermarket alloy wheels. It has decent amount of ground clearance and can handle off-road sections without any problem. A foot step is also seen here.

Like Isuzu V-Cross, Tata Xenon 2022 will also be a 4-seater pick up truck. This makes it a lot more practical as you can easily seat 4 to 5 people while keeping all the luggage in the cargo bed. On the roof, there is a large LED bar installed as well. At the rear, the SUV gets the same design as the older Xenon pick up but, the tail lights are now LEDs. It gets a tail gate with Tata written on it. Xenon and 4×4 badging is also seen on the boot. The bumper has been redesigned too.

The older version of Xenon that got discontinued from the market was powered by a 2.2 litre turbo diesel engine. The engine generated 138 Bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. The pick up was available with a manual gearbox only. If Tata plans to bring back Xenon pickup in the market, we feel like, it will be powered by a 2.0 litre turbo diesel engine that powers Harrier and Safari.

That being said, This is just a render image and Tata currently has no plans to launch Xenon 4×4 pick up in the market. The render however looks very neat and we won’t mind if Tata plans to launch Xenon in the market in this form. It will be a good competitor to Isuzu V-Cross pick up which is ruling the segment currently.

Maruti Suzuki WagonR limousine conversion costs just Rs. 2.3 lakh

Remember the pictures of the bizarre-looking WagonR limousine that became viral on the Internet earlier this year? A new video has surfaced talking about the same car. The car is from Pakistan and the video is with the owner and person who modified the vehicle. How did he do it? The details are in this video.

Mohammed Irfan Usman is the name of the owner of the car. He also owns a car garage and a workshop in Pakistan. Usman says that this is his dream project and he did all the work by himself. He converted the vehicle by sourcing parts and worked on the vehicle in his workshop.

Usman is not new to automobiles. He has been in this field for more than 35 years. His first workshop opened in 1977 and after he got an opportunity in Saudi Arabia, he moved there to work. He worked there for more than three decades and then came back to his come city in Pakistan.

The idea of limousines has been around in his head for a long time now. But due to the work pressure and working hours in Saudi Arabia, he could not take up the project. He did try to work on it while he was in the Gulf nation. However, he just could not find enough time to spare.

After his return to Pakistan, Usam decided to keep working and opened a new workshop. That is when he found enough time to work on his dream project. Before starting work on it, Usman did proper research. He wanted a WangonR that is unique. He made the car so different that there is only one of its kind in the world.

WagonR is imported

Usman imported the WagonR in 2018. It was a 2015 model. On paper, it seems like an easy job but it did take a lot of time. Usman explains that he left the front and the rear of the vehicle as is. To extend the length of the vehicle, he chopped the vehicle from the middle.

Then he used a new section to join the front and the rear axles and parts of the body. For the project, Usman imported parts like extra doors, roof metal, pillars and seats. The total cost of the project is about PKR 5 lakh, which translates roughly into INR 2.3 lakh. The took three months to complete the job.

Usman added an extra 3 feet and 7 inches to the original length of the vehicle. The final outcome of the limousine is a long 14.5 feet car. It has six doors and is designed to carry around 6 people at a time. Usman claims that the extended version of the car can handle 500 kg of weight without any signs of stress. There are no other changes in the car. The engine is also stock and it gets an automatic transmission.

Tata Harrier SUV modified with yellow colour body wrap looks unique

Tata Harrier was one of the most awaited SUV from Tata Motors. It got launched in the market back in 2019  and it is currently one of the popular SUVs in the segment. It competes with cars like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Jeep Compass, MG Hector in the segment. Tata Harrier is popular among buyers for its rugged looks and it is also a popular vehicle among modifiers. We have seen several examples of modified Tata Harrier SUVs from different parts of the country. Here we have a video that shows a Tata Harrier from Madhya Pradesh that gets a yellow coloured body wrap on it.

The video has been uploaded by Technical bhopal on their YouTube channel. In this video, vlogger talks about all the changes and modifications that have been made to the SUV. The Harrier seen here in the video is a lower variant and that is why it misses out on alloy wheels. The owner of this SUV has gone for a yellow and black combination on this SUV.

Original colour of this Tata Harrier SUV was white and the yellow coloured wrap has been placed over it. The yellow colour itself is quite unique. It is not something that we normally see Indian manufacturers offer on their cars. This yellow coloured wrap however looks quite neat and it also gives Harrier a very unique identity. There is no doubt that this SUV will grab attention on the road.

As this is a lower variant, it also misses out on features like panoramic sunroof. The roof on this Tata Harrier has been completely wrapped in black and the work done on this SUV looks quite neat. The SUV comes with 16 inch steel rims with silver wheel caps. Owner of this SUV painted the wheel caps and rims in gloss black finish that goes well with the overall look of the car. Other than this, a black Harrier moniker is also installed on the bonnet. Apart from these modifications, no other changes have been done to this Harrier on the outside.

On the inside, Harrier get stock interiors. No major customisations are done here apart from 7D floor mats. Tata Harrier with this yellow coloured wrap is an SUV that we never expected to see but, frankly the wrap looks decent on the car. The combination of yellow and black actually makes sense on this Harrier.

Coming to Tata Harrier, the top-end variant of SUV is available with features like touchscreen infotainment screen, JBL speaker system, multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, electrically adjustable driver seat, automatic climate control, semi-digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, Terrain response system, drive modes, dual tone alloy wheels and so on.

Coming to the engine, Tata offers Harrier with a diesel engine only. It is powered by a 2.0 litre Kryotec turbocharged diesel engine that generates 170 Ps and 350 Nm of peak torque. The same engine is also doing duties on Tata Safari, Jeep Compass, MG Hector and Hector Plus. Tata Harrier is offered with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox option.

There are many modified Vernas that you can find in India which have been heavily modified and they do look quite nice. However, here is a render of a Verna that has been done by bimbledesigns and the pictures have been shared on Instagram.

There are quite a few mods done to make the render. The first thing that you would notice is that artist has used a wide body kit on the Verna. The Verna has a lot more aggressive stance than the stock Verna. It is painted in a custom matte grey paint which enhances the appeal of the sedan.

The renderer has removed the stock Hyundai logo and replaced it with Batman vs Superman Logo which also glows white. There is a front splitter finished in carbon fiber and it also gets side skirts. Overall, the rendering of the Verna does look very attractive and aggressive.

The 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated engine produces 115 PS of max power and a peak torque output of 144 Nm. The engine is offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic transmission. The engine is already doing duty on the Creta and Kia Seltos.

Nissan Magnite with completely customised interior looks neat

Nissan Magnite was the game changer compact SUV for the Japanese car manufacturer in India. Nissan launched Magnite in India last year and it quickly became popular among buyers for its sharp looks and decent list of features. The main reason behind its popularity however was the price itself. Nissan when launched Magnite, it was the most affordable sub-4 meter compact SUV in the segment. Even the top-end variant was priced under Rs 10 lakh, ex-showroom. There is a long waiting period on this SUV and here we have a video where interiors on a Nissan Magnite have been completely customised.

The video has been uploaded by travel singh on his YouTube channel. The video starts by talking about the car itself. The person who did all the customisation work on this car mentions that the owner had driven the car all the way from Uttarakhand to Delhi for this purpose. Only interior customisation work has been done to the car. The aim with this Nissan Magnite was to give its cabin an upmarket feel.

Video shows the door panels on the SUV. Stock trims on the Magnite get a matte black finish. This has been completely changed here. The plastic panels have been painted in light tan shade which is normally seen in expensive cars. The tan colour is actually the theme of the cabin. The fabric material on the door pads have been replaced for soft touch leather like material. It also comes with a faux wooden trim and the inner door handle on this car gets a gloss blue finish.

The dashboard has again been painted in light tan finish. The AC vents on the Nissan Magnite are finished in gloss blue highlights and there is a broad faux wooden panel running from one end to the other end of the dashboard. The stock infotainment system on the Magnite was replaced for an aftermarket touchscreen infotainment screen. The panel around the touchscreen has been given a gloss black finish. The center console has also been painted in tan colour and the gear lever boot also gets a similar colour.

The steering wheel as also been completely done in tan colour with faux wooden panel in the center with Nissa logo. All the pillars get tan colour and the roof gets black liner. There are lights in the foot well are and under the seat and the owner has also opted for Rolls Royce like starlight roof. The seats get brown colour custom seat covers and all the plastic panels are painted in tan colour to give it a uniform look.

We are not sure whether this theme will be liked by everyone but, it is probably the only Nissan Magnite in the country to get such treatment. Nissan Magnite is available with two petrol engine options. There is a 1.0 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and there is a 1.0 litre turbo petrol engine. The naturally aspirated version is available with a manual gearbox whereas the turbo variant gets a manual and CVT gearbox as an option.

Mahindra Bolero modified into an off-road camper is butch yet beautiful

Mahindra Bolero is one of the toughest built SUVs that you can get in India. It is known for its bulletproof reliability. Due to this, people are using the SUV for off-roading and are even modifying them. Well, here is a modification that is done by TRACK 4×4 Accessorise & Customization. They have modified a lot of things on the Bolero to make it off-road friendly.

At the first glance, the modified Bolero cannot be identified as a regular Bolero because of extreme modifications. The SUV is finished in military green colour.

The stock Bolero comes with rectangular headlamps. The modified Bolero has circular LED headlamps that have a projector setup in them. This should provide better visibility when compared to stock halogen headlamps.

There is an after-market 7-slat grille that we usually see on Jeeps and the shop has even pasted Jeep and some star decals on the side of headlights. An off-road spec bumper has been installed in the front that will protect the front of the SUV from branches and increases the approach angle. There is also a winch mounted in the front that has a capacity of 8500 lbs.

Then we come to the side profile where we can see that the Bolero has been lifted a couple of inches using the suspension kit from Old Man. It is also running on off-road tyres that are wider and taller. Due to this, the rims have also been changed. Because the tyres would stick out of the body, the shop has increased the size of the wheel arches.

The outside rearview mirrors are derived from the Jeep Wrangler. There is a light bar installed on the roof which should help in illuminating the path ahead while off-roading. There is also a rock slider placed which doubles up as a side footstep. The shop has also installed an external roll cage which should protect the bodywork and the driver to some extent in case the SUV rolls over.

There are some useful modifications made such as there is a jerry can and a farm jack mounted on the side of the SUV. There is also a roof-mounted Ironman tent installed in case the owner wants to go overlanding. The spare tyre is also the off-road spec tyre and is mounted on the tailgate. There is a set of aftermarket tail lamps that seems like they are using an LED setup. Then there is an off-road bumper that improves the departure angle.

The price of the modification is not shared on the Facebook post. So,  you would have to get in touch with TRACK 4×4 Accessorise & Customization directly and they would be able to help you with the pricing. Overall, the modification looks quite good. It has also helped in making Bolero a better off-roader. The post has not shared if any mechanical changes have been made to the SUV.

They have a variety of models in their portfolio but, the most popular ones are Bullet and Classic series motorcycles. Royal Enfield launched their all-new motorcycle Meteor 350 in the market last year but, did you know Royal Enfield had a retro motorcycle with the same name? Unlike the current Meteor, the older Meteor motorcycle from Royal Enfield was a 70-cc, twin cylinder motorcycle. Here we have a video where both these motorcycles are compared to each other.

The video has been uploaded by Hitchcocks Motorcycles on their YouTube channel. In this video, vlogger simply talks about how different these motorcycles are from one another although they share the same name. He starts with the Meteor 700 first. Its exact name was Super Meteor 700 and was motorcycle that was in production from 1952 to 1962. The motorcycle looks like any other Royal Enfield motorcycle of that time.

The motorcycle seen here in video is a 1953 model. The motorcycles gets a rustic brown paint job on it had several modern features for a motorcycle that was manufactured 68 years ago. It did not have disc brakes at front but, it did come with dual braking system at front. It also came with a damper on the handle bar for better control.

Royal Enfield offered a saddle type seat for rider while pillion got a separate well cushioned cube shaped seat. The engine area was all finished in silver and chrome. The wheels were all spoke and the lights were all round. The headlamp had a small pilot lamp placed below it. The engine on this Super Meteor 700 motorcycle was a 700-cc, twin cylinder OHV, air cooled engine that generated 36 Bhp. The engine was mated to a 4-speed gearbox and gear levers are similar to other Royal Enfield motorcycles with a dedicated lever to slot motorcycle into neutral.

Coming to the all-new Meteor 350, it is again a brand new motorcycle and when compared to other Royal Enfield 350 cc motorcycles, it is entirely different. Royal Enfield offers a new chassis for the Meteor 350 which has improved the handling, vibrations by a lot. The engine on this motorcycle is also redesigned. It is now a lot more refined than any other 350-cc RE motorcycle.

The video presenter was very happy with the overall design of the Meteor 350. The one seen in the video is the Fireball version which is the entry level model of Meteor 350. He says Royal Enfield has priced it quite competitively and if you are person who used to ride 500-cc Royal Enfield, you won’t miss the power as this generates decent amount of power. The Meteor 350 generates 20.4 Ps and 27 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and it also comes with semi digital instrument cluster and Tripper navigation meter. Overall, the presenter was happy with the way Meteor 350 looked and more than anything, he loved the price at which it was being sold

India is one of the largest markets for two-wheelers. The number of automotive enthusiasts that you can find in India is very high. However, not often they all can buy a high-end performance car. Due to this, most of them settle for superbikes. But still, only rich people are able to afford these bikes as you need to pay heavy taxes. The taxes are even higher on imported vehicles. Unfortunately, there are people who have left their motorcycles to rot at the police station.

These pictures were clicked by Sidhartha M and the motorcycles have spotted at Andheri Police Station, Mumbai. Many enthusiasts hearts would just sink when they will watch these pictures. We can see a Yamaha FZ-1, Honda CBR 600RR and Honda CBR 1000RR Fireblade.

It is heartbreaking to see the condition of these superbikes. If you think that these are the only motorcycles that are left like this then you are wrong because we have also seen other superbikes that are gathering dust.

We also see other motorcycles like a Honda Repsol. It is finished in the same paint scheme as the Honda’s MotoGP motorcycle. A paint scheme like this really enhances the look of the motorcycle. This is the reason that motorcycles and scooters like Dio and Hornet 2.0 are still sold in the Repsol paint scheme. You do have to pay a bit more to get the special paint scheme.

Another special motorcycle that we can see is in the same parking lot is the official Konica Minolta edition of the Honda CBR600RR. The Konica Minolta edition was produced in 2018 and is very rare. It has a transverse four-cylinder, DOHC engine that has a cubic capacity of 600 cc. The engine is capable of producing 118 hp of max power and a peak torque output of 66 Nm. The motorcycle can hit a top speed of 255 kmph.

Then we have a Yamaha FZ-1 which looks like it has been in an accident. We say this because there is no front mudguard and the headlamp has melted away. There is also some damage from the heat to the instrument console. The turn indicators of the motorcycle are also broken. It is not clear what else is damaged. The FZ-1 featured a liquid-cooled, 1,000 cc, transverse four-cylinder engine. It produced 146 hp of max power and 106 Nm of peak torque. The top speed of the motorcycle is 247 kmph.

Yamaha R6 and Suzuki Hayabusa seized

Another picture that got viral on the internet was of a Yamaha R6 and Suzuki Hayabusa that were gathering dust at RTO in Thane. The post said that both the motorcycles were seized by DRI years ago. It seems like both the motorcycles have not even been moved for a long time.  The R6 was imported to India as it was never sold officially by Yamaha. Still, it has a huge fan following.

Then there is the legendary Hayabusa. Everyone knows the Hayabusa in our country. It might be the most famous motorcycle in India. When the new generation of the Hayabusa was launched in India, the whole lot sold in just an hour. It had 101 units.

The video has been uploaded by  Biker Prakash Choudhary on his YouTube channel. In this video, the lady police officer is seen taking the delivery of her brand new Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. After collecting the keys and clicking pictures, she along with several other Royal Enfield riders went out for a small ride in Telangana. Once she came back after the ride, vlogger talks to her about the experience and reason why she chose Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.

The officer was extremely happy about her new purchase and she tells vlogger that she wanted to prove to other riders that women are also equally capable of riding a two wheeler or a motorcycle. The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is not her first two wheeler. When she joined the force, she used to ride a Bajaj Chetak and later shifted to gear less scooters. Although she was riding those scooters she was not satisfied with it.

After riding scooters for many years, she bought her first motorcycle a Royal Enfield 350 back in 2015. After riding it for some time, she upgraded to Royal Enfield 500 cc motorcycle. She mentions that she used to go out for night patrols on her motorcycle and she has even received appreciations for the bold move. While she was using her Royal Enfield 500-cc motorcycle, she went out with several riders for a breakfast run  and that is when she saw Interceptor 650 and instantly fell in love with it.

She asked the riders about the Interceptor and they gave her a positive feedback. She even took a test ride and came back impressed. She was concerned about the weight of the motorcycle but, her fellow riders encouraged her to ride it as she was already riding a 500-cc motorcycle. Once she got familiarised with the Interceptor 650, she decided to buy one.

The video and render images have been shared by Bimble Designs. In this render video, the artist completely transforms a regular Tata Tiago hatchback into a hardcore rally car. The car is called Tata Tiago WRC Rally Edition. Artist starts with a stock Tata Tiago hatchback and instantly removes the stock wheels.

The wheels are replaced with wider rally wheels and low profile tyres. Once that was done, the front and the rear fender on the hatchback was redesigned. It was done in order to accommodate the wide wheels. The fenders are designed in a way that it makes the car more aerodynamic. The car was then lowered and the front bumper and the side got body skirting to enhance the lowered look of the car. No changes have been made to the front grille, headlamps and fog lamps. Headlamps have been smoked and the lower grille is now bigger than stock version.

Overall, the hatchback looks a lot more wider and muscular than the original version. Other changes on the car include a modified bonnet. it gets two air vents and the vent is kept in place use hood pins. A roof scoop has been installed and a huge spoiler is also installed at the rear. The tail lamps have been blacked out and there is a diffuser at the rear as well. As this is designed to look like a rally car, the car would also be getting a roll cage, bucket seats and other features that are there on the stock Tiago will be removed. This actually completes the look of the car.

The final render actually looks very different and sporty from stock version. The matte black and grey finish on the hatchback gives it a sporty look. Red Bull, Total and Tata Motors livery can also be seen on the car at places. The render looks brilliant and the artist was successful in converting a regular hatchback into a rally car.

Tata Tiago is a small hatchback which is available with a petrol engine option. It is powered by a 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 84 Bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque. The engine is available with both manual and AMT gearbox option. Indians love to try new things and that is why we have invented the word ‘jugaad‘. Well, recently, a trend started in India to put a coat of cow dung on their vehicles for various reasons. However, the most popular purpose of putting cow dung on cars is to keep them cool. You need to check these out.

Hyundai i20

Here is an older-generation Hyundai i20 spotted in the parking complex of Tirumala. While no one knows the owner of the vehicle, locals say that it belongs to a devotee who came to visit the Tirumala temple. People who did not expect to see something like that started clicking pictures of the vehicle.

Toyota Innova

The doctor – Navnath Dudhal from Kolhapur coated the wedding car with cow dung. The visitors who exclaimed at the cow dung wrapped vehicle later realised that the doctor was promoting the use of the same. The doctor believes that cow dung can cure cancer and remove all other illnesses from the human body. That is why Dr Dadhal took the opportunity to promote the use of cow dung.

Mr Dudhal also added that the risks of global warming are increasing and that is why the indigenous cows are becoming important for the conservation of the environment. He also said that dunging the vehicle with cow dung reduces the temperature of the cabin. Further, Mr Dudhal said that the cow dung protects the occupants from mobile radiation. As per the doctor, it takes three buckets of water to wash the car daily and putting a layer of cow dung saves water too. He says that with the cow dung coat on the car, he wants to promote water-saving and protect the environment.

Mahindra XUV500

The image above shows Dr Navnath Dudhal standing with his vehicle. As seen in the image, it has been completely smeared with cow dung barring the lights and the glass area. However, usage of the word smear is not accurate here as according to Dr Navnath Dudhal, the car has been given 3 coats of cow dung.

Dr Navnath Dudhal is a senior doctor at Tata Cancer Hospital in Mumbai. He claims to have stumbled upon this idea as he regularly studies cow urine’s benefit for cancer patients. As of now, there has been no proven study or any other such verification which states that cow dung does help in keeping a car cool.

Toyota Corolla

The video interview of Sejal Shah on ANI news agency shows her car from all around. Interestingly, the car became viral on the internet. In the video, Sejal says that the cow dung blanket is really helpful on her car and it ensures that the temperature remains regulated inside the car. She claims that when the outside temperature was 45-degree Celsius, the cabin temperature without the use of AC was around 36-37 degrees.

That’s a massive drop in temperature. Sejal chose to wrap her car in the cow dung to find a way to keep her vehicle cool without harming nature and throwing out polluting gases from the AC in the environment. Sejal says that they have used red mud and cow dung mixture to put the coat on the sedan.
