Maruti Ertiga CNG: 3 new promo videos out

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is one of the most popular MPV in the country. It competes with cars like Toyota Innova Crysta, Mahindra Marazzo in the segment. Maruti gave Ertiga a much needed facelift in 2018 which made it appealing among the family audience. The new Ertiga was bigger and offfered more space on the inside than the first generation. Ertiga is avaialable in both petrol and diesel engine with a combination of both manual and automatic transmissions. Last year, Ertiga got another update when Maruti Suzuki launched the Ertiga with CNG fuel option. It is the first MPV in its segment to get a factory fitted CNG kit. Here we have three videos from Maruti Suzuki that explains what are the benefits of a factory fitted CNG kit.

First video is called safety first. The Ertiga is powered by S-CNG technology which gets a leak proof design and stainless steel pipes ensure absolute safety. We have heard many cases in the past where the car gets in trouble due to the installation of low quality aftermarket CNG kit. Second video is about the performance of the Ertiga CNG. The S-CNG technology in the Ertiga is smart and eco-friendly. The S-CNG kit installed in the Ertiga gets dual ECU and suspension is adjusted in a way that it provides optimum performance and fuel economy at the same time.

Third video focuses on the convenience part. The CNG version of the Ertiga gets a fuel level indicator that shows how much CNG is left in the cylinder. There is also an automatic changeover switch that will switch from CNG to petrol whenever the gas levels are low. This will make the using it for long journey’s effortless as you don’t have to switch manually between petrol and CNG in between the journey.

The Ertiga CNG when launched was priced at Rs 8.88 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. The Ertiga is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. CNG is only comes with petrol engine. The Ertiga petrol is powered by a 1.5 liter-4 cylinder K-Series unit that produces around 103 Bhp and 138 Nm torque on petrol and the CNG version generates 91 Bhp of peak power and 122 Nm of peak torque. While the petrol trim of the 1.5 liter K-Series engine is offered with 5 speed manual and 4 speed torque converter automatic gearboxes, the CNG trim is offered with only the 5 speed manual. The Ertiga rivals the Renault Lodgy and Mahindra Marazzo.
