Renault Triber is the latest offering from the French manufacturer in India. It is a sub-4 metre 7-seater compact MPV. Triber turned out to be a good product and is doing good numbers every month. It was even the best seller for the brand in the month of September. One of the reason behind this could be the design which does not look out of place or odd at all. The car looks well proportionate and is practical too. Renault is providing accessories for the Triber to make it look more premium. Here we have a Triber MPV that has been modified at the dealer level as per customer’s request.
The video has been uploaded by Ujjwal Saxena and the Triber in the video is modified by the dealer. The exterior of the MPV is left untouched with no modifications at all. However the interiors get a number of changes. First noticeable change in the car is that it looks more airy on the inside. The Triber in the video gets a Metal Mustard colour and the owner has chosen to give the interiors the same colour scheme.
The door pads get a mustard yellow plastic insert on the upper part of the door pad and the area where the power window switches are placed, it gets a custom stitched leather padding. The steering wheel also gets a black and yellow finish. A same colour yellow strip can be seen running along the dashboard. The dashboard now gets three tones – a black on top, silver insets below it and finally the mustard yellow strip. Otherwise the whole cabin gets a beige finish on most of the parts.
Next set of modifications are done to the seats. All the seats now get a black and yellow dual tone PU leather bucket seats. Moving to the rear, similar modifications are seen there also. all the windows get the yellow insert and apart from that, the A, B, C pillar are painted in yellow colour. As per the video the total cost of modification on this Triber was around Rs 45,000.
Triber is currently powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that also powers the Kwid. Renault will bring in a 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine soon for Triber which will also power the upcoming HBC compact SUV. The Triber will also get a 5 speed automated manual transmission shortly. Both the turbo petrol and AMT variants will be pricier than the current variants of the compact MPV.
