Recently launched all-new Hyundai Creta is one of the most popular SUV in its segment. It competes with the likes of Kia Seltos, MG Hector in the segment. It is so popular that it is now a common sight on our roads. Number of customisation options and aftermarket accessories have also started arriving in the market. Here we have a video that shows a new gen Hyundai Creta that looks different from regular ones. It is probably the first Creta in the country to get a matte finish PPF or Paint Protection Film on it.

The video has been uploaded by Musafir Aka Joshi on their youtube channel. The video starts by showing the work that is being done on the all-new Creta. Instead of going for a wrap, the owner has done a PPF coating which gives the car a matte finish. A wrap and a PPF are two different things. Wrap can come in different design and colour whereas the PPF is a transparent sheet that is pasted on various parts of the car to protect the paint and also from small scratches.

Normally, when we talk about PPF, people generally go for gloss finish when it comes to PPF but, here Detailing Bulls have given it a matte finish. This is giving the car a very distinct look without making too many changes. The matte finish film has been pasted on the front and rear bumper, bonnet, side fenders, doors, ORVMs, and boot lid. Unlike wrap, the person who is installing this film does not have to take off the bumper to fix the film. It is a transparent sheet which can easily stick to the body.

It gives the car protection and also enhances the look. Detailing Bulls have not wrapped A pillar and the black gloss strip on the boot. This gives it a premium touch and goes well with the car. The all-new Hyundai Creta is available with three engine options. It gets a 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with manual and IVT gearbox option. The diesel version of the SUV also uses a 1.5 litre unit which comes with manual and 6-speed automatic transmission option. The most powerful version in the lot is a 1.4 litre turbo petrol engine version which comes with a 7-speed DCT gearbox only.

Overall, the work looks very neat and the matte finish PPF gives it a unique look. It looks like the car had undergone a wrap job. Wraps are totally legal in India as long as they don’t change the original colour of the car. Roof wraps with a contrast colour are quite popular among a lot of people as this does not change the base colour of the car even as it gives the vehicle a much sportier appearance. While wraps can last for many years if maintained well, poorly applied and poorly maintained wraps degenerate rapidly.
