Yamaha launches FZ-S Vintage edition with Bluetooth connectivity

Japanese two wheeler manufacturer Yamaha has a number of products on offer in the Indian market. One such product that has evolved over the years in FZ motorcycle. It has been in the market for over 10 years and it was one of those motorcycles during the time that offered punch of performance & fuel economy. In order to further cast the strong legacy of the FZ brand in a striking frame, Yamaha has now introduced the Vintage edition for the FZ brand enthusiasts of the country.

Yamaha FZS-FI is one of the most stylish naked street motorcycles in the 150-cc segment. The Vintage edition of FZS-FI in India gets the same Style & DNA of the FZ brand. Apart from the timeless vintage graphics that augment its iconic legacy, a new leather finished single piece two level seat will further add to its styled-up antiquity. Another addition in the FZS-FI is the new Bluetooth connectivity feature. Yamaha has introduced Bluetooth connectivity feature “Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X” with FZS motorcycle for various utilities.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Motofumi Shitara, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group of companies said,

We are committed to offer better motorcycling experiences to the customers in India. Today we have introduced the Vintage edition in our FZS-FI variant with smart features like Bluetooth connectivity. We will continue to bring more such excitement for the biking enthusiasts in future, eventually as we rev up the entire line up of our motorcycles.”

The FZS-FI ABS Vintage edition is priced at Rs 1.09 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. this makes it around Rs 5,000 more expensive than the regular FZS. This new variant will be available at all Yamaha dealerships across the country from the first week of December. No changes are made to the engine of the motorcycle. It is powered by the same 149-cc, single cylinder, fuel injected engine that generates 12.40 Ps and 13.60 Nm of peak torque. It is one of the most refined motorcycles in this segment. Apart from the vintage edition sticker work, nothing else has changed on the bike.

In India, Yamaha currently offers YZF-R15 version 3.0 (155 cc) with ABS, MT-15 (155 cc) with ABS; Blue-Core Technology-enabled models such as FZ 25 (249 cc) with ABS, FZ S 25 (249 cc) with ABS, FZ-S FI (Fuel-Injected, 149 cc) with ABS, FZ FI (Fuel-Injected, 149 cc) with ABS and UBS enabled scooters like Fascino 125 FI, Ray ZR 125 FI, Street Rally 125 FI; latest superbike MT-09 (847 cc) and YZF-R1 (998 cc) in their portfolio. Yamaha has three manufacturing facilities in India. One at Faridabad in Haryana, Surajpur in Uttar Pradesh and Chennai. All these manufacturing plants support the production of motorcycles and parts for domestic as well as overseas market.

With the advancement of technology, the two-wheelers are quickly getting new features like Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster. There are several scooters available in the market that offer Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster that allows several functions including checking the caller name, getting navigation and more. Motorcycles like Royal Enfield Meteor, KTM 390 Adventure, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V offer similar features too.
